I have been tempted by the ladies here to buy the $$$ powder. But I still wanted to ask how it compares to Chanel Les Beiges. My sister in law has Les Beiges which she uses as an all over powder and she was wondering whether the effect of the one from Guerlain is different enough to justify having the two. She is not tempted by beautiful packaging so it's really just the powder itself. Thank you.

Yes! One is the makeup manager for Nordstrom the other is the over-all beauty buyer for Nordstrom. I will twist both of their lovely arms

No, it is not like Les Beiges. Les Beiges is more of a foundation base type powder & it actually has color although it does make the skin look great. The $$$ powder has NO color. It simply smooths the appearance of the skin...pores, discolorations ............flawless. The powder is not about makeup, it's about a flawless canvas.

It's like Vee said earlier, the compliments she got on her SKIN wearing this.

Ok, Crazy Meteorites compact vs the $$$ new one:

I applied the Crazy Meteorites this evening, this one is called "Radiance Powder - Vibrant colors" right on the back of the compact. The beige and green areas of the compact have subtle sparkle, which is visible under certain lighting conditions. The new $$$ has none. When I swirl all the colors in the Crazy compact together, I find a very barely faint pink hue on my bare face. If I remember correctly, when this came out for Christmas a few years ago, the idea was that this powder would wake up dull winter skin. So the pink is supposed to counter any sallow appearance. The advantage of the new $$$ is that there is no added color at all. I have pink undertones and I feel the Crazy one adds to that. I didn't take any pictures of swatches because it is really hard to capture on camera. The difference is subtle but it's there. Hope this makes sense and helps.

So I'm guessing I need the white powder, sigh. You girls....:encore: I got the ballz, eye/cheek compact, nail polish, matte liquid lip color, sparkly lip gloss. What about the Rouge G? Another trip to check it out in person I guess.

The Rouge G is perfection, but might be Georgia from the permanent line. I think I'm going to try to email to find out for sure. I hope it's perm because I LOVE it.
