Chanel Rouge Noir Absolument - Holiday 2015

My local dillards counter just got in the interim RA collection. I couldn't resist the instant gratification and bought Troublante n/p in store. I got to swatch everything else, and decided I liked RA 164 Inspiree better than the RAV 53 Mysterieuse. However, I feel like Inspiree is pretty similar to TF So Vain, without the shimmer. I plan on ordering Inspiree online and using my notes and ebates! along with picking up some of the vamp attitude collection when it finally all goes up on nordies. I'm still waiting for the rouge noir RA.  When I went home I immediately did my nails with Troublante and I loooooooooooooove it!!!!!!!!!

I ordered Inspiree online and received it late in the afternoon on a cloudy day. That day it looked a bit mauvey on me but yesterday it was really sunny and even indoors it looked much more brown. I don't love it on me.

????? In the pic it's to the left of Or Safran and on the swatch it's also to the left of Safran---it looks redder in the pic than it does IRL. I like the name too.

Sorry. i was thrown off by "rouge noir, Glossimer, etincelle." I keep forgetting the Glossimer is not called Rouge Noir.

A tiny bit, I think. I liked it! I wore it home and checked it out in different lighting. It was nighttime though, so I'm wondering how it'll look in broad daylight. Mysterieuse pulled more pinky / mauvey on me if I remember correctly.

Chanel Day!!! I'm so annoyed---yesterday we had our lawn crew doing plantings for next spring and today it's the driveway crew that was supposed to come yesterday too---way to many interruptions here!!! I took two quickie pics and not so generous swatches but I did my best under these crazy circumstances here today. Anyway---squeals for Chanel Day. Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that. I didn't know what Farida looked like so I googled it, beautiful shade too! How do you like CL's formula compared to Chanel?

CL and Chanel can't be compared, IMO. I'm terribly hard on nails, and have so far only found 2 brands that don't chip after 1 day: CL and Tom Ford. They both have a gel base, hence the longevity. Now that TF's prices are creeping upward (and I have all but Naked), CL's color assortment sucked me in. Don't get me wrong; I still collect Chanel nail polishes (just checked the spreadsheet and I have 136), but they're not workhorses for me. Luckily I view doing nails as part of my nightly routine, so it works out.
