Hhmm, hopefully I get my goodies tomorrow. All this talk about how good the highlighters are make me glad I got them both. I don't know which I'll like more.

SOG works better for me! OD is nice now, but she didn't give me that WOWWW effect although I did love her metallic richness which SOG lacks . Besides I'm gonna buy So Hollywood lol
I agree with you. SOG is gorgeous but is very understated on my skintone. Nice but I wanted more pop. I picked up OD and may lightly layer the two. I will say OD is very yellow and more cooler and metallic.

In these swatches, ER does look the weakest on your skin tone. Everything else is popping!
Yeah I wanted to love it but didnt. I dont even wear my other purples like Goddess of the Sea and Heroine (both pictured in the swatch) as much as I should. The only thing Im really liking from the whole set is the Red Lip Bag. I was hoping I had a dupe for the red lipstick but Im not so sure after reading this thread

SOG IMHO is more suitable for darker skin tones for sure.It provides an all over warmth. Kinda like what Blackup cosmetics sublime powder in number 5 does for my skin. I could have done without OD but had to have it anyway.

I know everyone's focused on the highlighters, but I really do love Please Me. I know it's a permanent shade in shiny purple packaging, but it's one that I hadn't bought yet- and I adore the packaging. Totally worth the extra money. Such a lovely everyday shade.

If anyone is still Look the MAC store on 14th street in Union Square has Oh Darling and the darker highlighter in stock. Just came from there

While Oh Darling is VERY pretty, I think Shaft of Gold is stunning on deeper skintones. Such a rich, warm shade!
Agreed! It's also not as metallic as Cheeky Bronze and Gold Deposit... It seems to be a warmer bronzier version of Trace Gold to me. Glad I swapped OD for it

I don't think it's a dupe, but someone here mentioned it having a similarity to to EDSF in Magnetic Appeal. It has the same non-metallic sheen finish that is so gorgeous and glowy but not SHOWY.

I got OD too because I don't have anything like it; I'm a bigger fan of bronze-colored highlighters.

Glad OD worked out for u!!! She is a gem but Champagne Pop gave me the exact same feeling once I got home and did comparison swatches, so back to Nordies she went! Shaft of Gold is much better for me considering I love to do cheek ombres... Today I'm gonna do Film Noir as my contour blended out with a bit of Brown Script e/s, then blend in Shaft of Gold, then add a pop of gold on the outer eye sockets blended in towards the pupil of the eye! I like to get creative oh yesss

Went to the MAC counter to pick up my pink lip bag. Swatched several lipsticks next to Goodbye Kiss and couldn't find anything even close. L-R Star Magnolia, Pickled Plum, pink pigeon (cyy underneath), craving, goodbye kiss, girl about town, lickable. Speed dial on top. All swatched on my NW 13-15 skin.

I'm probably going to get it. I've wanted it since the matte lip launched in the summer. May as well get it now in the purple packaging!

It's below, click "IG" all the way at the bottom. You prefer ABH's formula over these? I only have Starlight from those. Yeah that's always the case. If I could just be happy with just one of each color!
I like So Hollywood because she is more of a yellow gold, I have Starlight too and love the formula... If something's blends out the same as something I already have then back she goes especially for $33 plus tax haha... I'll get much more pleasure using SOG especially since I like to blend in some gold with any of my bronze/copper-toned blushes/highlighters

thank you for this :) that's why I'm getting two of the pink lip bag since both the lip liner + lipstick is different from what they have in their range plus they are absolutely gorgeous
