This what I have been able to confirm about the nail polishes. After 1/1/2016 ALL current Chanel colors will quietly be discontinued. Yes, they will more then likely reformulate some of the more popular colors. Think of what Dior did awhile back. They will not pull the old formula from the shelves. Which could be why the LA Sunrise collection only has one nail polish. Since it is the old formula. Again, if there is a color you are drooling over, perhaps it might be wise to purchase sooner rather then later. Vamp will be around for a very long time. It is a signature color for Chanel. Was it not last year at Christmas or maybe the year before they showcased Vamp as one of the polishes???? It will eventually be reformulated.

The new formula is suppose to offer a gel type finish without the fuss to achieve it. In my boredom today I used Rose Fusion over Rouge Noir, it was awesome!!!! Sadly my sniffles kept me from keeping it perfect. As in grabbing a tissue with wet nails, not such a good idea. Oh Ms. Allie, I will short sheet whomever made you sad today.

It will be Spring and Chanel will have huge campaign for their new nail polish. Think of what they did for the reformulated lipsticks awhile ago. I would not sell my soul to try find an old color, unless of course it was Malice. I would hurt someone over that color.....

Normally the postman leaves it on the doorstep. But now I'm nervous to order anything from Nordies for fear that I might run over it

I'm not a happy camper.

Yeah, the three issues I have with USPS is that I can't change/modify shipments like I can with UPS Choice and FedEx, dealing with lost packages is more difficult, and the carriers a lot of times don't like to go from the mailbox to the front door (and I live in a single family house now). I heard that they have to pay the USPS carriers extra now to carry the packages to the door as an incentive. They were apparently complaining about this issue. I go out of town a lot a lot more now and I worry about the packages sitting there until a neighbor or a friend picks them up for me. In the LA area, even in in the 'nice' neighborhoods, there are "porch pirates" who are targetting packages. So I liked that with UPS Choice I could usually change delivery days (albeit at a small fee).

Back on topic, I ordered the Minuit JC with my Nordies Notes. Can't wait to receive it! Chanel has been hitting it out of the park with JCs (blush or highlighter) lately.

That sucks! If it was USPS I'd call my local PO----I blame the postman for this one. Why wouldn't he/she leave it on the doorstep as they normally do?

Are the travel sets useful types of brushes and pretty good quality?

They work for me-----better quality than the MAC holiday sets, and some of those have lasted a VERY long time.

I have a set from maybe two years ago...the quality is really nice and I use a couple of the brushes almost every day. One is the short dense eyeshadow brush and the other is a soft fluffy powder brush I've been using for bronzer. I probably use the other ones more for travel. Hopefully the quality of this set is the same, but I can let you know when it arrives. I rarely use the makeup bags the come with- this round one is cute, though!

Thanks for all the responses. So it took me so long to respond. I came down with an awful bug and I'm only just getting better - not what I needed when I have to write a presentation for this interview. Anyway, I got Raquel and I'm really liking it so far. I don't have anything from CT, but that lippie (and Cherry Lost) is now on my list. I was just given some money by my grandmother, so I'm going to blow at least some of it on stuff from these Chanel collections.

I kinda want' Ebloui now.   I have my IDO and haven't even played with it yet.  Crazy couple of days.  

I got the Illusion D'Ombre today.

L-R: Rouge Noir, Ebloui, Fatal and New Moon. It's nice, but browner than I was expecting. The red shimmer is fairly subtle compared to other IDo's.

Yeah I prefer the look of Ebloui here :sigh:

Well it looks like the change was/ is not perm because my new Nordies order is shipping UPS. Maybe UPS lowered their rate in order to keep Nordies business because that would have been a huge lost for UPS and a huge gain for USPS. I'm just happy they worked it out and I can relax knowing my packages are protected.
