Soooo... after deciding to skip and not even stalking the german site, I checked it this afternoon and the lipsticks were in stock. I took it as a sign and ordered AP. :oops:

I'm actually really disappointed in MAC. This isn't coming from someone who is mad that she couldn't get what she wanted, because at one point I had the shadows and lippies, and chose not to buy or stalk.... ADULTING.
But what I saw this am was pathetic. I had to go to Sears so I decided to drive around my mall. The lines for MACY'S and MAC were ridiculous. Mt Nordies had about 60 people at 930. I got in line knowing they had about 12 of each item.

The women in line with me didn't think they'd let people line up if there wasn't enough stock. I finally said, I'm a jaded MAC fan, I know how they get down. A MUA came around giving out more numbers, now at 80+, and we asked, what do you have left? She started stuttering and pausing. I was like look, we're not going to get mad, but don't waste people's time. She finally said were out of Shadows. 10 min later they said they were out of a stock.
Now my line was 99% Latina/Hispanic women of all ages... Selena was a cultural icon... I can't believe MAC didn't take any of that into consideration and plan accordingly.

And my Nordies pissed me off, why waste these people's time?!?!?! You knew Monday how much you had...why is this there this much security, why is he standing as your body guard as you tell us your out of stock. Do you really think I'm going to go off and risk jail?!?!?! LOL and why would you tell people to go to MAC or Macy's at this point?!?!?! Don't offer pointless alternatives.


MAC do better.... and I felt so bad for my line mates... still didn't give them any tips on how to look for a restock. LOL

Y'all better find Specktra!

Exactly what happened to me. The pre-sale made it so easy I kept adding stuff to my cart. You'll love it and yes, it was a sign! :p

Just called MAC, Nordstrom's, and Macy's near me. None of them will do a phone sale. Dillard's MAC counter didn't even answer. MAC in the mall said they still had a lot of items but also a line out the door.


Really hope my phone order goes through. I don't even care if the shipping is $8 and I could have gotten it free during the pre-sale, I just want to be done stalking, ha!

My friend went to Macys in Jersey. Their limit was 6. She got MMB for me. I hope everyone gets what they want.

I am so mad. My DH stood in line at Nordies for me and was SECOND in line, and they said 2 of the 3 lippies were sold out. When they were refusing to presell how does the SECOND person not get what they want?!? :mad: I hope others are having better luck.

This after me not being able to order during the early launch (I'm obsessed) because Mac accidentally combined my online account with someone else's and locked me out. So done with Mac, and tempted to just return what pittance DH was actually able to get today. Ugh!!!

All these horror stories from today are why I will risk being sleep deprived to buy online lol I have 0 faith in brick and mortar stores, especially for a collection like this. I don't understand how they can consider less than 20 of an item sufficient stock for a store. I'm not a business person etc but as a makeup lover I would say MINIMUM you should have 50 of a product if not 100. And with Selena that would still 100% sell out on day 1!
