That's how I've purchased pretty much all my Kate Spade. It's usually the $400 ones I love because they are usually larger & I always end up with more than intended in my bags. I bought my laptop & iPad sleeves & my current wallet as well. I'm always on the sales, great for gifts. They earned a loyal customer with their amazing customer service.
About a year ago I was in the store & as I chatting with the sa I showed her a seam on the bag I was carrying I was a bit concerned about. I asked if I could pay to have it sent in to be looked at & maybe reinforce the seam. It wasn't tearing. I just wanted to have it checked She said No you don't have to pay, just bring it in when you get the chance even it's in a month or two. I told her I'd had the bag a year or two & I didn't mind paying since I had it for so long. She said it didn't matter they stood by their products. It was a few months before I took it by the store. They called me when it was returned & I could pick it up any time & look it over to make sure I was satisfied. When I took it out of the dust bag it looked brand new. I take care of my bags very well but have to say every little crevice of the pebble leather & inside was spotless. Customer earned.
Unlike COACH that charges you to send in a defective bag & then refuses to repair it. I paid & had it sent in & they sent it back to me with a letter stating it was due to usual wear. I called & told them I had only been carrying it 4-5 weeks & they should read the reviews online from every person that bought that bag in the color I did had the same problem of the leather peeling off the handles and piping. I assumed they got a bad batch of that particular leather. She said I could have it sent in again for another look. I did & it came back with the same letter. I called to let them know they lost a customer. She said no, we'll give you 25% off your next purchase. I said no thank you. She said well I'll put it on your account. I told her that was fine but it would never be used as I would not be purchasing another COACH product again. Customer lost.
I cannot deal with bad customer service. My husband thinks I overreacted a bit because I got it on sale. It made no difference to me and should not have to them that the bag was originally close to $400 & I got it on sale for $250.

I got it too! I checked to see if, just in case, the Naked Heat palette had arrived ahead of schedule. Aside from that... not sure there's anything I'm desperate to have. I mean, I could find something, I'm certain. If I put my mind to it.I got the $15 off code email. I don't have anything I want......right now

You'll never find what you're looking for if you're looking for one you saw online or in a dept store. My KS outlet told me they only carry bags made specifically for the outlet. Coach does the same thing, although I've rarely seen a regular bag in there, especially after the style has been dc'd.
I don't have any Kate Spade, but I have a bunch of Coach purses. I just bought two (a medium Rogue and the larger Brooklyn, both of which I was very happy to get for half price) in the last couple of weeks, actually. Everyone seems to be having sales now. I haven't had any problems with mine yet, but I rotate them quite frequently and I think my oldest is from 2015. What bag did you have a problem with? I had always heard how good the service was; that's concerning. I know they've changed the warranty from lifetime to one year; I haven't had to make a claim yet but I pop in and get them to clean/condition my bags when I've carried one for a month or two.
These sales are killing me. I bought both Modern Renaissance and Naked Heat a couple of weeks ago (not to mention the lippies), and then went on to buy 16 individual ABH shadows in the last week and NARS Promise since I like the gloss formula so much. I thought I was beyond done, and then I got the $15 coupon today, so I just ordered 4 more. Then the MAC code came. Yikes! I just bought wipes, a prep and prime lip and a couple of refill eyeshadow pans. Just made it to the free shipping limit.
Definitely on a makeup hiatus for a bit. I really hadn't bought much in the last couple of years, but I made up for it this spring. I did clear out some old stuff, but I should be set now until the fall 20% sale.
