I can't ever find a whole lot that I want from Ulta. Once in a while I can. I don't ave any idea about the JCP gift card. That's an interesting question. Yeah, the 7% was not that exciting. What did you decide?

I went with the boosted Macy's g/c, + currently offering 15% off beauty, with additional 10% Ebates banked! I ended up ordering the MAC Art Library Flame-Boyant palette (free full size Prep+Prime Lip included) and a mini Estee Lauder mascara set.
I still have to make a return to Sephora this weekend. I plan to pick up a new tube of the MUFE Smoothing Primer. I will also do some window shopping and swatching to see if anything else tickles my fancy. Then I will probably place an online order. I still have several LE Givenchy lippies in my
list. I also have the new Bite Agave+ products and a couple of the Cover FX Bronzer Duos & Blush Duos on my list too. Unfortunately the blush duos I like are all OOS at the moment. Such is life.

I finally placed my order and was surprised that it arrived the next day. I have never received next day service from Sephora, ever!
Sunday Riley Power Trio, CEO Glow Vitamin C+Turmeric Face Oil and Auto Correct Brightening Cream. I have enough of the Auto Correct to last a few weeks but decided to finally buy the full size. I am also falling in love with SR Face Oils.
The Ordinary Lactic Acid, Glycolic Acid and Salicylic Acid. I have never used this brand but I have been looking at it since it first hit Sephora. Since everything I wanted was in stock, seem like a good time to buy. Price is great.
Natasha Denona Gold and Biba Palette. I love her eyeshadows and love these two. Have not had a chance to play with them since they just arrived yesterday but I will be taking one with me on my trip.
Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanille Extreme and Vanille Abricot/Vanille Coco Travel Duo. I love Vanilla Extreme and Abricot and decided to try the Coco.
Origins Night-a-Mins Oil Free and A Perfect World Treatment Lotion. These two have been in my skincare arsenal for years and still love them both. I wished Sephora carried the Perfect World Cleanser but, no such luck.
Shiseido Facial Cotton. I don't know why I keep using these but, I do love them, just not the price.

I decided to get DE new retinol. I was going to get Skinceauticals but I've replaced the products I was using from skinceauticals and moving on from them, especially since my facilist told me to keep using DE C serum and not to switch to Skinceuticals and the change in ingredients with DE C serum won't make much of a difference. There's a lot of good reviews about DE Retinol and hopefully it works out for me. The Lala cream is a staple for me.

I forgot all about the credit card. I'm surprised no one in store has asked me about it, but I'd decline anyway. If I didn't have any other cards I would, but I need to be responsible.
For some reason I strolled into Sephora knowing I didn't need anything and I walked out with stuff. I got the Korres Wild Rose Makeup Melter Oil and the Bite lip mask. The Korres was on my radar because I am doing away with makeup wipes and I want to try out oils and balms. I have Clinique's Take the Day Off but I wanted to experiment to see what I like best. All of the other Wild Rose stuff by Korres has this smell that I hate but I sniffed this stuff and I LOVE the smell. It was an instant purchase and it works really well. The downside is it's expensive and you have to shake the product out as opposed to squeezing it, but I think it's a keeper. I really liked the way my face looked after I used it. Hopefully it doesn't irritate my skin because I know that Fresh rose toner certainly did.
I got my second order that I placed during the sale: The Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Powder, her Pinkgasm highlighter wand, Bobbi Brown Crushed Liquid Lipstick in West Coast Bae. I'll see how all of these work this week. The Marc Jacobs lash primer was returned because it just didn't do anything to justify the price. Oh and I have finally put Drunk Elephant to rest. It clearly doesn't agree with my skin because awhile back I tried one of their products that was like acid on my face, but I decided to use my points to get their little eye serum or whatever. I thought I would be safe with that but NOPE! All the wrong kinds of tingles. After about 15 minutes I couldn't tolerate it anymore. The thing is DE is pushed by everyone, it's everywhere and I kinda feel left out, but I am done with trying it now because it just clearly isn't for me. I'll stick to Sunday Riley, Tatcha and Caudalie from here on out.

I took it easy with this sale unlike the last one when I went crazy & spent way too much. I just returned from a 3 wk non-vacation trip & too exhausted to play on the site very long.
I ordered DE Framboos which I love. I also got the DE Retinol. I usually use Skinmedica but thought I'd give the DE a try. I have plenty of Babyfacial & Protini already. I threw in a couple of brushes, like I need more. I have a thing for makeup brushes.
I haven't even used any brushes from the nice set of Hakuhodo brushes my husband bought me when he went to Japan a few years ago. They're so soft & pretty. Before he left I instructed him that he must find & go to the flagship store, good hubby

Yeah DE has invested in a lot of marketing but I will say it's really beneficial if it works for you. I went out of town and had a spa day and the facialist was very impressed with my skin and I have trouble/sensitive skin so I was over the moon seeing her clearly impressed with the condition of my skin. I've tried pretty much all of DE but the only staple products for me are the Lala cream & the C-serum.
I waited as long as I could before incorporating Retinol into my routine but now it's time and of course DE retinol peeked my interest so I'm starting there. Cleansers, oils, mask/treatments etc. I'm looking to smaller independent companies especially living in California there's a lot of unknown brands to explore and not just the widely commercial brands that are being pushed on everyone and grossly over priced.
I waited as long as I could before incorporating Retinol into my routine but now it's time and of course DE retinol peeked my interest so I'm starting there. Cleansers, oils, mask/treatments etc. I'm looking to smaller independent companies especially living in California there's a lot of unknown brands to explore and not just the widely commercial brands that are being pushed on everyone and grossly over priced.

I got the DE retinol and tried it last night. It comes with a small sample of B-hydra but I tossed it as when I was using B-hydra it caused me to break out which sucks because I loved using it. I saw in the comments on Sephora that someone suggested sticking a small whole in the opening instead of pulling the sticker back because a lot of product would come out and be wasted. So I stuck a small hole and the product instantly started leaking. So I'm happy I saw that suggestion in the comments as the small hole enabled me to control the amount and not waste product.
I applied the product and followed up with Lala cream and this morning my skin did look brighter. I'm not solely convinced this happened after only 1 use but there was a difference in my skin enough to notice. So maybe it was the retinol or the combo of the retinol with the Lala cream. Either way I'm happy so far but I will keep using the retinol only once a week because my skin is very sensitive and it's best I start slow as I don't want to have any skin setbacks.
