How does your boyfriend react to your love of makeup?

lol, i was playing around with my boyfriend ... well i was serious.. and i was like "come on, tell me if you like the way this goes (e/s)" .. and he's like i don't really care. i had this beauuutttiiifffuuullll black dark smokey eye goin on, and he's like "ew, thats ugly, thats too dark" ... he says "if it's not brown or neutral then its ugly" .. lol. but that really made me sad because i have all his makeup in all these wonderful colors and he doesn't like them

he sucks.

My bf tells me that I don't need makeup cuz I look beautiful without it. But he doesn't mind too much if I put on a little bit. He hates bright colors. lol. I think pretty much every boy likes neautral colors on their girl.

I don't think my hubby tells me how I really look often. He doesn't want to offend me. Yes, I hear the - "I like the natural m/up look". I reply, "Yes, natural m/up like Playboy. Right?" They want you to look airbrushed without makeup. It's not possible. I can do a natural look and wear the same amount of makeup as with the bright colors. It's a smoke and mirrors thing. They always think you wear less with neutral flesh tone colors. "Oh, that girl isn't wearing much m/u". haaa haaa The chick has as much as me on, but in neutral tones.

he usually compliments it. i usually ask if he likes my eyeshadow or i always ask his opinion on something in particular...he usually likes it though. sometimes he doesnt understand why i wear it or he says i don't need it. and whenever i bitch about my makeup he reassures me that its nice

He buys it for me if I want it, but he doesn't like when I wear color. Neutral colors are ok, he usually can't tell if I'm wearing a lot if it's all neutrals. He does acknowledge that I do it well though!

But anything bright and he says it reminds him of Mimi haha, or he just doesn't comment but makes funny faces. He also really hates lipgloss because it is sticky and leaves lip prints on his face.

my boyfriend buys me all the makeup i want! he knows its my passion and hobby and hes happy to spend his money on me and my makeup lol. when i do like extreme makeup [very colourful, totally blended etc.] he tells me how amazing it is and how i should be a makeup artist. When i dont wear makeup he tells me i look beautiful without it but he knows its what i wanna do when im older [makeup artist] so hes VERY supportive and treats me when new mac stuff comes out. I sooo wanna give him a makeover one day i already asked him and hes like "one day... one day but you cant tell anyone!" and im like i wont! lol he's soo good with MAC makeup too he knows most of the prices of the items i buy, if i want a new e/s and its similar to one i already have hes like "i thought you already have a teal!" and im like AND?! boys will never understand

my husband doesn't care one way or the other. he knows i loooooove makeup,but he's not all gung-ho about it like "i love to buy you makeup! rah rah rah!" but i dont bitch about his computer obsession,therefore neither does he. he always gives me MAC/Sephora gift cards for everything..birthdays,christmas,anniversaries,etc. he likes me without it,but doesnt mind when i wear it,either. its just..there,to him. he just hates when he has to go in the stores with me,i can spend HOURS. and he doesnt like when i ask him "what do you think,this e/s or this one?" it's all the same to him. he once saw a concealer stick and thought it was white lipstick

lmfao omg its funny when men do that! i taught my boyfriend what everything is used for im like "where do you put eyeshadow?" and he points to my eye lids "where do you put blusher?" points to my cheeks lol he was rubbish at first but now he gets everything right. you just have to train them

My boyfriend hates when I wear makeup, so Its as simple as I don't often wear it around him unless we are going to something social. He won't kiss me if I have anything on my lips, not even chapstick.

My boyfriend is completely supportive of my hobby, and he finds my obsession endearing. He is always giving me input and compliments on different looks that I do. He has even started giving me more feedback and specific compliments.

All I do is talk about makeup, and he is more than happy to encourage my love for it. He even buys me collections that fall on anniversaries, birthdays, and holidays :-D

mine is completely supportive haha hes shopped with me so much that he can go in and pick out specific colors, formulas, everything! for christmas he always gets me makeup off my wishlist and his fam always ends up giving me mac/sephora gift cards which end up being spent before the new year! i get makeup on my birthday too, but since im a summer baby i get more summery accessories/clothes as well. anyways not to go on a whole new topic, hes fine about it. i tend to take a long time even to do simple things, since i dont feel very well most of the time, and he usually gets a bit antsy but is fine with it. he even notices when im wearing my new stuff

gotta love a supportive man! even my guy friends ask for my assistance when buying for their girlfriends (who are my much-less obsessed friends)..it feels like an accomplishment when i get asked to tag along haha

My boyfriend notices my makeup and compliments on it. Since I am a makeup artist, he sort of took an interest in it ... like he notices if someone has bad brows or bad makeup. So cute! He thinks I'm beautiful with or without makeup (and tells me all the time) *blush* but he's just surprised at how much it all costs. I love him.

Mmm.. the b/f buys it for me and what not but he doesn't like colors on me... But I LOOOOVE colorful eye makeup, I think it looks so nice when it's applied well.. But he doesn't..

My boyfriend loves it.
When I don't wear makeup for a few days, he'll ask "Why aren't you wearing all the bright colors?". He loves me best without it, but he even requests that I do certain combos sometimes

He regularly checks my makeup photobucket and everything and he tells me he likes it when I do "mermaid" looks, hahaha, like greens and blues.

I husband hates makeup. Only recently did I notice that his mother uses eyeliner, and used that against him (no dear, those lashes are not naturally that dark). It's really frustrating because he'll notice even lightly colored lipgloss, and will get irritated. I am slowly working on being able to wear it around him. So far I've made it to the light foundation and concealer phase ^_^.

my bf pushes me to apply at mac all the time.. if only i would get hired... LOL. since hes a grafitti artist, he sees the "artistic" aspect of makeup and he likes to suggest colors that would go together. he's only bought me a few items but he doesnt really complain when i HAVE to stop at mac everytime were at the mall, he just laughs at me. LOLZ

this is my BF exactly. At first he couldn't understand why I needed so much of it until he went with me to pick a new foundation at mac. The lady ended up color matching me and then putting together a make up look that complimented my skintone. lol thats when he saw the light and realized there was a lot more to it than just pick and choose. As far as complimenting me on my looks: sometimes he does if he notices something. On my lips he likes either really BRIGHT fun colors or really really soft pale lippies with darker eyes. no neutrals b/c he thinks they look funny on me. lol
