I noticed that NARS up here in Canada are doing a big push for their skin care line, something I wasn't even aware that they had. (It's very cleverly hidden on their web site under the giant title that says "Skin" along the top menu bar.) I just went to an event that they were having to introduce Canadian consumers to their products and I was pleasantly surprised.

The products are made for them specifically by Shiseido and they're very light and clean feeling. The products are mostly what I'd call basics and they're skin care as opposed to anti-aging products, but I really liked some of the ones that I tried. Left my skin feeling very hydrated, but not at all greasy.

Has anyone else tried their skin care line? Is it as much a surprise to anyone else to find out it exists? Any thoughts you'd like to share?

When I visited a store last year, I met a very nice Nars MUA who gave me a sample of the Aqua Gel Hydrator. Wow, if it wasn't so expensive in Europe, I'd definitely buy it. It's amazing. My skin gets dehydrated very quickly, and she told me to use it as a night treatment. I put a generous amount on my face, went to sleep, and when I woke up, my skin was so soft! The formula is lightweight and feels fresh.
François Nars said the skincare line was underappreciated, especially the Aqual Gel Hydrator, and I can see why he thinks that!

No, they don't.
However, they're launching new skincare products for fall, so an exfoliater might be included. *fingers crossed*

Maybe, for fall, they might start advertising it by handing out samples? (message to NARS: not just for the US, pretty please.) That might be the opportunity to ty it. :)

like it was already told in another thread NARS is coming out with some new skincare items

so far I have only tried Double refining exfoliator and i really like it. It is very gentle, but efficient. It is pretty creamy and has a lot tiny micro beads that are not hars at all and what i like the most is they don't desolve right away. My skin was smooth and did not feel stripped after use.

Another thing i tried is Luminous moisture cream and it is definitely too much for summer time especially if you live in hot and humid place. My face was so sticky and felt sweaty. Mi skin is pretty normal with some dehydrated areas.

Both have almost the same scent as the tinted moisturizer.

I did not have time to try other samples I got but as soon as I do I will post my impressions here.

And yes, samples that I got from NARS website are very tiny, mostly i can get two uses out of each.

I've tried their mug mask and I did quite like it. It helped with my pores and cleaning my skin (used it once a week). I didn't like it enough to re-purchase though for the price.

I also have tried their pore refining primer and LOVE this one. I had 5-6 samples and just recently ran out of them. It's the best face primer I've ever tried, applies so smoothly, makes my skn perfect for foundation application and has a significant affect on how long my foundation lasts. I need to purchase a full size bottle

Is there an ingredient list on the samples? I don't think it'll fit on a tiny sample, but I figured I'd just ask. :p

According to Temptalia, the "old" skincare line will be discontinued in August right when the new line is launched.

since i ordered the toner they already threw in 2ml sample of the exfoliator and a luminous boosting serum so i didnt use narskin code (since i was only interested in the exfoliator and the eye cream) i used superorg for a free mini super orgasm. I wish it was a different blush but at least i get to try another nars blush lol

That's cool they included a couple of samples automatically with your order.

I saw that code too! But I know that's not a blush I want, even as a free sample. It's way too glittery for my taste. If it was a different color like you said, like the mini Orgasm I usually see, I probably would've grabbed it.

i received that mini super orgasm while ago and i like it much more than regular orgasm. it's more subtle snd glitter does not transfer on skin. sorry for offtopic any more opinions on nars skin? i really liked aqua gel very lightweight and nicely hydrating and absorbs fast reminds me of clinique moisture surge

aw man more subtle? I dont think it'll show up that well on me then lol i put my orgasm over pink cream blushes. It's weird because before i bought this, i tried using my friends orgasm and it showed up a lot on my skin... now im starting to think her brush must have been dirty with another color lol

Is the aqua gel good for combo skin? I have an extremely oily t zone and really dry cheeks so its a hassle for me to try and find a good cream that can cater to both. I'm using clinique dramatically different gel and i like how it feels on my tzone but the rest of my face still feels like it needs moisture so i tend to pile it on in those areas. What a waste.

When I get the toner I will def let you guys know how it goes
