Well, I love going to Sephora whenever I get a little bit of extra money for myself. It's a little harder for me since the closest Sephora is a half hour away no matter which one I go to, but it's worth it. Have you ever been to Sephora at all? If not, I just want to tell you that it's not just for make up. They have hair products, make up (obviously), brushes, make up cases, perfumes, skin care, etc. I could go on all day. It all depends on what you would like to get or what your more interested in getting. If you are looking for more of a make up aspect of it, what kind of brands have you tried from Sephora? If your not familiar with the brands, I would highly suggest going online to Sephora.com and looking through their website. It's really easy to navigate and you can find everything very easily. I personally get Urban Decay, Sephora brand stuff and hair products when I go to Sephora, all depending on the time of year, how much money I have, etc. Let us know a little bit more about what you wanna do and I'm sure we can help you out or point you in the right direction.

I agree with going online beforehand. Pore over the Sephora website, and if you find something interested, read stuff on Specktra and MUA about it.

If you're new to makeup, you should probably get some basics. But honestly, I don't know if you'd even need foundation! Your skin is something else.

Thanks. I've been on the Sephora site pratically everyday since I got the gift card, lol, and no I have never been there before. At first I was just going to order online with the gift card because the closest Sephora is an hour away, but I didn't want to get something that was too light, too dark, or just ugly. I don't know if the swatches of the makeup on there is accurate, so I just thought I'd go there and see for myself. I most definitely want only makeup though!!

Haha, I totally understand what you mean. A couple years ago I ordered some stuff from online and when I got it, it was WAY smaller than it looked online. I was so mad but I kept it anyways. When you go to the store, they have people there that will help you in finding what you need. They will recommend brands, find your skin color, etc. They are VERY helpful.

You're so beautiful!

I'm a Sephora Junkie so I can give you all kinds of recs, but I need to know what you're looking for. Skincare items, perfumes, hair products, makeup, lotions, etc.? Let me know, and I can give some recs.

By the way, sign up for their Beauty Insider program. When you spend all $100 of your g/c, you'll have 100 points so you can get a free deluxe product sample.

Yea, I think my beauty card is messed up. I've spent well over a hundred dollars at Sephora, but I only have 46 points. Just the other day I spent $46 and I only got 12 points? What's up with that?

Sorry for mini hi-jacking your thread, but it just reminded me when I saw her mention the beauty insider program.

Yeah I'll ask for help from the people there, too. I'm always scared to ask for help. I don't know why but I feel like they're always judging me by my choices or something. Yes, I'm weird for thinking that, I know lol.

Don't feel weird. I sometimes feel the same way too. I always think if I pick some crazy ass color there gonna be like, "right like this will look good" haha. But I do have to say that no matter what Sephora I go to, everybody is extremely nice and helpful, I can't say anything bad about the help I recieve.

Definitely look into NARS (blushes), tarte (cheek stains), Makeup Forever (foundation), and Cover FX (foundation). I'm a huge fan of Philosophy's Lipshines. They come in TONS of flavors. You could get Smashbox's primer too.

Make Up Forever makes an amazing foundation for HD uses. It's great. I also really like DiorShow mascara which is a must-have for me now, a Shu Uemura eyelash curler is a basic must have as well. If you wear eyeshadow you might want to look into the Urban Decay Primer Potion for eye shadow. It helps your eye shadow apply more vibrantly (saving you eyeshadow!), last longer, and prevents creasing.

I also love Smashbox's foundation primer. Depending on your skin type there are different kinds, but I know that all of them are good!
