168 SE vs full size vs Bobbi Brown

Hey guys, this might be kind of wordy but I'm gonna try to explain my dilemma here.

I currently use these face brushes for my face routine (other than powder):

- 187 for light handed bronzing and contouring
- 168 SE for a heavier bronzer/contouring application
- 116 for blush
- 181 for highlighter (petticoat)

OR

- 168 SE for heavy handed bronzing/countouring
- 116 for blush
- 168 SE brush again for highlighter (Shimmer Brick by Bobbi Brown in Copper Diamond)

Now my trouble is.. I'm not loving the 168SE. It's kind of rough and I got it from the Color Forms collection at Nordstrom's. My 187SE from the same pack SUCKS and I never use it, so I'm wondering if any of you ladies know what the 168 full size is like compared to the Color Forms one? For highlighting (especially Shimmer Bricks since I am really starting to love those), should I use that? Or the 181? Or stick with the SE? Or use the Bobbi Brown Face Blender brush? The SE seems to not distribute evenly and it's hard to blend with...

Help!

Hey Cetati! I have the 168SE and 187SE and yup you guessed it! from the colour forms collection...I'm just wondering what it is you dislike about the brushes? you find them a lil hard..? Personally, I find they work well and I thinkkkk the 168SE has a little bit of a smaller head than the 168 full size..but I could be wrong...but just to let you know, the quality of the SE brushes is not as good as full size (in general) as SE's are made in a factory while the full sizes are hand made....I like em though! easier on the wallet and great results!

Yeah, I know about the quality difference but the eyeshadow brushes are almost the same for me so I was wondering about the 168 in specific.

My 187SE sheds like mad and also leaks black crap when I wash it. Ahahaha. And it feels nothing like the full size 187.. it's hard to explain.

I only have a 187SE brush and it is way softer than my normal 187 brushes...I find for some reason it does not blend as well. Not sure why there is a difference in the feel. I just use it for very light blending ...and it works okay for me...But it does not shed or leak that I have noticed...But I have only used it 1-2x

Not sure about the BB brushes I only have the liner brush which I love

I have almost all of the bobbi brushes I got them in a set, and I loved them until I started buying mac brushes. The bristles on the bobbi brushes are really soft and nice but the metal ferrels are not clamped on to the wooden handle like mac brushes are the bobbi brushes are just glued on. so a couple of mine are getting loose and I wash them so the water doesnt even touch the ferral. but thats my two cents.

But I use the bobbi face blender for my shimmer bricks and I LOVE IT! but then again I dont have any mac face brushes yet I have 10 mac brushes and they are all for eyes! and I just got the 211 today I was sooo excited to find it!

Quick update, guys. After posting, I went to my local make up outlet and looked at the 168 full size.. and bought it. It's NOTHING like the SE.. it's much softer and easier to blend, I'm not sure why.

Guess I found my answer.
