2/16/08 - Smoky Amber Lights

You know that saying, "You learn something new every day," right? Well, cliches become that way for a reason. I decided to do a smoky eye with Amber Lights today, so I had it pulled out and was looking for a good higlight color, sooo... I grabbed my Milani Autumn Earth quad. I got to looking at one of the colors in it and thought, "Hmm... that looks a LOT like Amber Lights does!!" So, I swatched them. Check it out:

NOTE: I screwed up in the picture. That is *not* the Light color from the Autumn Earth quad.

GO figure, eh? LMAO!! I mean, there is a tiny bit of difference but not enough it would really be noticeable.

So, anyway - oh well! I like how this turned out except for the fact that BOTH my eyes were watering on the outer corners, so it totally screwed up that part of my eye make-up. *sniff*

That is STUNNING!! I LOVE IT - those colours are rich and warm, youve just created the hugest lemming for amber lights. Ive been diggin the use of mylar for a highlight, its subtle but effective.. now i just gota find a mac e/s i can use to replace the HIP pigment because we dont get them in australi
