Hi dolls !

I did a board search & Googled but can`t find whether at 20 years I`m too young for chemical peels.. if not then what kind ? I used to tan outdoors & indoors so would like to reverse some damage that will probably appear later on. I just want a treatment for anti-aging besides all my at-home products.

My friend is 19 & also used to tan & actually has been having sessions of PhotoDynamic Therapy so perhaps I should get that ?

To be honest I don't think you'll ever be able to 'reverse' the damage that's been done, only improve the appearance of your skin currently.

I have had light glycolic acid peels in the past (I'm under 20), also referred to as 'lunchtime peels' because they literally take about 45 minutes and then you gradually seem the results and improvement in the look and texture of the skin over the following week. Products apply much better afterwards and any marks either disappear or skin tone just looks generally evener. The brand that was used on me as Agera Rx (if you google it you can see how the process works/learn more). These peels I also teamed with microdermabrasion and N Lite laser. My aim was to treat my ongoing acne, so not quite the same situation as you are in. But I think that sort of thing would be an appropriate course of action and not too harsh. I think a full on medical peel, by a plastic surgeon at 20 would be way over the top.

In terms of PhotoDynamic Therapy not having any knowledge of it, it would be difficult for me to comment.

Hope I helped you a little though. Maybe people who tan (I'm as pale as Casper the Friendly Ghost) will be able to have an input too.
