222 vs 224, which do you prefer?

I have to invest in some new brushes and I've been debating whether to get the 222 or the 224 for blending. Which of these two do you guys prefer? (I already have the 217.) Unfortunately I can only afford to get one of these at this point.

Also, I have heard that the Sonia Kashuk blending brush is supposedly as good as the 224. What is your experience?

Honestly I love both but I really think the 224 is more versatile.

I think 222 is better because 224 can fluff out really big and then i find it quite hard to work with.

the 222 is better as the 224 is slightly bigger ,therefore harder to work with. but i like the bristles from the 224 better as they don't get as 'frizzy' as the 224. If you have smaller lids get the 222

If I find that the 217 gets to "frizzy and fluffy", is it a better idea to get the 224 than the 222?

Edit: Never mind, just saw missemc's post.

I have both....and I prefer, and use the 222 much, much more...It seems more versatile..it blends better, and (for me) applies eyeshadow more nicely in the crease area-most times I find the 224 too big for applying in the crease effectively. All around, I just like the 222 better; since I've purchased it, I hardly ever use my 224....If I had but one choice between the two, the 222 would be it...no doubt

As far as Sonia K. brushes go, the only one I have (and have ever used) is the eyelash comb...So, I can't give you any help on that one

i prefer the 224. i use it for crease color, blending all over, and applying color to the outer corner, though for more dense color, the 222 is better since the bristles are more packed than soft. if you're just interested in basic brushes to start your collection, i'd get the 224 since it's more versatile, and then you could check out the 222 if you want that more intense color.

Honestly, they are different. The 224 is for larger areas (crease + surrounding area) , and it's application is lighter as well. The 222 is firmer and more precise. It's great for intensely contouring the crease. It can be tricky to blend our colors with the 222, hence why there is a 224.

Thanks everyone! I guess I'll have to think about which one I want to have soonest, and then get the other one when I've saved up some more money.

My fav is the 217 - but from the 222 or 224, I'd pick the 222.

The 224 is too soft and fluffy and it's hard to achieve too much precision with the blending, in my opinion.

The 222 is like the 217, a little stiffer and smaller and great for precision blending if you are using at least several colors or for smoky looks.
