223 brush

Hey all! i got to finally play with the 223 brush! we havent recived the 169 yet. Anywho i tried to use it as a crease brush but its synthetic and it wont drag color so basically as a blending eye brush it sucks. Its also longer than the 222 so it has no pressure to blend, its so wobbly. BUT i wasnt gonna give up and i used it on one of my customers for her studiofinish concealer and WOW it was airbrush city with the 223! i suggest trying it with cream or liquid products (ie glimmershimmers). I cant wait to use the 169 for my tech.

169 for studio tech? i have a quick question.. i bought my studio tech in june i think and it looked freakin flawless... then after like 2 months it started getting really cakey and nasty looking... do you think my skin changed or what? lol... i want to love it the way i loved it when i first got it but im seriously thinking of just using it as an empty... but im also dying for the 169.. lmk how that works out!

that has happened to me before too, the only reason i have for that is that you must use a clean brush before applying it everytime. Also make sure to always moistureize before you apply it, and as a suggestion try using the 188 brush to buff it on...talk about airbrushed!!!. Since the 169 has the same fibres (synthetic) as the 223 it would be better off using it with cream or liquid products, at least in my opinion.

I love my 223. Works better than my 224 IMO. The handle is long, so you have a bit less control. But the bristles are soft, and the thickness of the bristles is perfect for blending.

Anymore thoughts on this brush? I have it and thought I loved it but it is a tad too floppy. The 217 is too thick for my crease so I thoughtthis was going to be perfect

Yeah the 219 was too harsh of a line even with blending...but I didn't have #224 back then either and I swapped the 219 lol!

the ma last night talked me into getting this and now i'm having 2nd doubts. it's not working for my small crease and i can't seem to get it to pick up color well. i haven't really tried it for blending yet.

i think i might have to return it
