1) what make-up brush cleaners do the MA at M.A.C. use on their brushes (you know, in between color changes or between customers, they spray their make-up brushes) is it the same as the brush cleaner that they sell or no?

2) what M.A.C. blush is a good double for NARS Orgasm?

3) what lipgloss is a good replacement for "Softer"? (i have this in one of those holiday palettes called M.A.C. Seductions: 6lip/trend)

4) b2m question - i recently purchased 15 e/s pans plus the pan palette case.....so i was wondering when these babies are empty, can i recycle the e/s pans? i've used studio fix, lipstix and the individual eyeshadows in the flip top case to recycle. you can't trade in stuff for viva glam...but if i have a viva glam lipstick, can i recycle that?

thanks so much for answering my first post!

Please check the sticky at the top of this forum. It contains a link to the Back2MAC FAQ thread, which you can read here. You should find a lot of questions answered in that thread. Thanks!

sorry MissChievous, i did read that sticky thread but was still unsure about 2 of my 3 questions about the b2m. i removed my question on the holiday set, but just since i didn't see the eye shadow palette refills nor the viva glam under the list of things you can't recycle, i just wanted to clarify to make sure i could recycle those when they are empty....there were some things i've thrown away in the past that i found out were recyclable like the mascaras. i hate to throw something else out that would count in the b2m recycling.

1. Yes, they do use the same brush cleaner, but every night I believe they're washed with baby shampoo (or something like that). The brush cleaner is used during the day between customer uses, iirc.

2. If you check the swatch thread, there are some comparisons to Nars Orgasm. I believe the closest MAC product is Glissade msf, which is LE but findable on eBay and maybe in our clearance bin. I don't believe anything in the perm collection matches it closely enough.

4. Yes, you can recycle the pans, anything with the recycling symbol on the packaging. You can recycle the VG lipstick, just not b2m for any VG item.

in between customers, we clean our brushes with the brush cleanser. then we lightly spray them with alcohol, the same kind that we dip lipsticks into to sanitize. we don't use too much alcohol cause it dries out the brush hairs. then at night we soak our brushes in brush cleanser and rinse with water to prevent the hairs from getting stiff from residue buildup.

a great comparison to NARS orgasm is springsheen.

you can recycle the pro pan shadows. you can recycle the holiday sets, however if your set had 4 mini shadesticks, all 4 must be returned together and only count as 1 recycle. you can also recycle VG lipsticks and lipglasses. you just can't get them as your freebie.

recycle those bad boys!
