It looked much nicer in person...it really did. I think the flash just really washes out the color from up so close. =/

looks great!! Sometimes flashes wash looks out, sometimes they make em too bright etc. I wouldnt worry to much about it. It looks great!!
Personally I would however suggest an eye base for the simple fact of longevity, and vibrancy!!
