A couple of Q's about foundation primer.

So here is the deal.
I do not wear foundation. For a long time I had a combination skin problem of severe acne and psoriasis, and no matter what brand I used, my skin always ended up irritated or inflamed. So, I basically came to dislike foundation, and haven't been bothered to use it barring rare occasions when I just sport some powder from Larenim.

I was speaking to a girl who works at a makeup counter about what I can use to kind of finish my face without bothering with foundation and she recommended using Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer. She said that I could use it it by itself to kind of minimize the look of pores and lines.

Do any of you have experience using this product? (Specifically on its own, but if you have used it with powder and such, I would like to hear it.)
Have you had any reactions to it? Does it provide a noticeable change on your skin or enhance it? Would you recommend it? Etc.

Thanks in advance.

I love this primer, I use the regular one, but there are colour correcting primers in the same line. I love mine, this primer isn't like a moisturizer, it doesn't improve the condition of your skin. However, it will make your skin feel soft and smooth which is what you want when you apply foundation and it creates a barrier between your skin and your make up so your pores wont get clogged or anything. On top of that all, it is supposed to give a longer lasting effect to your foundation. I like this product better when you do wear foundation, I don't see a difference when I put it on alone, the point of a primer make up or even painting, is to smooth out the texture of something before applying the foundation (paint)... but there is hope for you yet because...

Since you don't wear foundation, try looking at Make up Forever products, they also have colour correcting primers that have SPF and moisturize all in one which will actually probably help you improve your skins appearance, but the one I would probably recommend to you the most is Matt Velvet, It will do all the same stuff other primers do under make up, but it gives you a nice matte finish which makes a huge impact because there's a difference in looking oily and shiny as opposed to glowing and shimmering.
