A fun new way to play with your MAC eyeshadows!!

Ok so I have so many colors that I don't wear or would never think of pairing with each other. This really works if you use pallets.

I have 6 full pallets..none are labeled on the outside, but each pallet has the same color family.

So what I do, I pull a random pallet and say a random location...

Pallet 1: Row 2, 3rd shadow from the right (this would be all over lid color)
Pallet 4: Row 3, 1st shadow to the right (crease)

Etc, etc. It is a fun way to see what combos work and don't. I did a color combo this weekend and it was fab using this method.

Hope I explained this well and it makes sense

I've done this before with my single shadows, or even pigments. It's fun to see what comes up

For me, since I have about an equal number of Lancome, UD, and MAC shadows, I would almost do "Spin The Colour Wheel" and see where I land. I gotta tell you though, lately I've been on a frosty eye kick and I just did a VERY simple look that is gorgeous, I can see it getting a lot of compliments (Crystal Avalanche from lash to brow, Lark About pigment in crease and under brow, Violet pigment in crease over it (that was the update), and then Beautiful Iris as lower liner). It's all about trying to do new looks with what I have, so that I'm not always feeling the rush to get out and buy a ton of perm colours.

i do this with my palettes too! i put all my lid colors in one palette (light colors) , crease (darker of course) in another and highlight colors in another palette since i love to mix my colors up =)

I do this with my lipsticks, liners and lipglasses! I have found some great combos that way! The latest was Long Stem Rose+ Subculture+Ensign!
