okay, so i was cleaning up some stuff earlier and i came across a box of playing cards that i have and in the box was my deck of MAC playing cards. i havent seen these in awhile. how many of you have the playing cards or have seen them before?

That's the holy grail of MAC collectables, you realise?

I've only seen one or two cards scanned, and never seen them in real life. A handful of people on Specktra have part of the deck, a couple have the full deck. I've seen it fell for insanely high dollars on eBay (US$300, $400+).

well, one of the things that i love to collect and my family humors me in it is playing cards, i have tons of playing cards, full decks, half decks all sorts and i got them from my local MAC when they were released and i added them to my growing collection.

I found another pic on eBay, and the seller said they came out in the early 2000s. But no way am I going to pay that price

I have a set that I haven't even THOUGHT about in over a year. My interest in makeup has kind of waned. I still love MAC, but I'm not the collector I was...maybe I should sell or swap them? I didn't realize they were worth THAT much...

I have the full deck and they came out in 2002, I believe and they were referred to as Assouline (sp?) cards. I can't remember if I got them gratis or if I had to pay for them. I just moved a couple of weeks ago and found the deck in a box. They are gorgeous. I can't believe they are pulling in the kind of money listed on here.

I got a full set when they came out a few years ago for AU$20 when i was in Sydney. I love them. I always show them off to my friends but the actual box is a little bit worn. It's nice to know they are valuable but there is no way i'd ever sell them!

i am the same way, my box is slightly worn in the edges as well but i would never part from them or any of my card collection unless someone was prying them from my dead hands.

I actually have two decks of cards that a friend gave me a while ago. One is new and sealed and the other has been opened and looked through. They're SO pretty. I could be tempted to part with one or both of them.....that's a lot more than I thought they were worth! I think I'll add them to my for sale posting.
