Me and the mattes aren't getting along very well, I don't think. They're more difficult for me to apply than the sparkly colors. Has anyone else found this? In general - with minerals? Hmmm. Anyway! Here's a look - for what it's worth.

The long weekend was great, and I do NOT want to be back at work. MEH!

I know, back to reality... Its so hard to get back in the swing of things after a long weekend but oh well, gotta do what we gotta do!!!

About mattes vs shimmery... i originally only used mattes when i first started wearing makeup. Since i use lots of stuff now, i find mattes much harder to use. They just dont blend as well for me...

Either way you look very pretty today, minus the red blotchy things... we wont look at them, hehe! Wonder what made that happen... I really love the crease color you used though & your lips

i love mattes & i love this, the colors are so nice... i think it depends on the brush you use to be honest when working with them.

I was wondering that about the brush. When I was putting them on, especially on my lid, it seemed like they may have worked better if I'd used a sponge applicator, even, instead of a brush. Ah well. I'll figure something out or won't wear them much!

I use two brushes for my matte colors from Walmart's Simply Basics makeup line (hopefully I won't be shunned for admitting to that

). The first is rounded, a little fluffy but still holds shape. And the second is an angled brush, which is also a little fluffy. Both spread the color nice and evenly.
