A Newbie! Need Recommendations =)

Hello Everyone! I'm a newbie to makeup.. I need your recommendations for mascara and eye shadow palettes.. I heard about Coastal Scents and a lot of reviews says it really good and not so expensive, unlike Mac and other brands..

Any suggestions?

Coastal Scents is a good place to start if you are a newbie and on a budget. As for mascara, what are you looking for? Do you want something that lengthens or volumizes?

Hey hun...I've been a MAC ho for a loooooong time, and I have to tell you that I honestly love my Coastal Scents 88 palette. I got the matte one (they're not all totally matte, some have shimmer), and I've been using it a TON. I'd definitely recommend it, especially if you're just starting out. I think it cost me about $24 with shipping.

As for mascara, personally my favorite is Bad Gal Lash from Benefit...I absolutely refuse to use anything else at this point, because for me, it's perfection in a tube. Legthens and volumizes without clumping my already long lashes...but mascara tends to be subjective. What works for me might be total crap for someone else, so I'd recommend trying out a couple and see what works best for you. HTH!

Thanks a lot for you reply! I'll get the CS 88 eyeshadow palette soon. And for the mascara, i want something that lengthens.

how about for eye primers? UDPP or the too faced insurance?

i like too faced over urban decay for primer, udpp does not work too well for me to be honest.. mac paints is my favorite eye primer but i also have a loreal one i sometimes use that works great.
i always use drug store mascara, i actually prefer it to be honest. nyx also has great shadows for those on a budget!
