A quad for my Mommy

I want to buy my Mom a quad for her birthday. I am just starting to get her into MAC and she now really likes their shadows. I am just trying to figure out what shadows would be good everyday ones for her. I am wondering if anyone has any advice. She has quite olive skin and she is turning 47. I don't know if there are certain colors that older women should stay away from or not???? Any idea's would be a great help. Thanks.

i would check out what she currently wears and pick out 4 colors that are similar to what she already is comfortable working with... if I were to make 1 color suggestions.. I love Naked Lunch.. It's a gorgeous and vesatile color.. I do my best friend's mom's make up from time to time and she always loves that color..... It pretty much works for everyone I've seen wear it...

With older women, try to stay away from overly shimmery eyeshadows, they tend to accentuate any wrinkles.

Colours though could really depend on her personality. If I was shopping for my mom.. she's 65 and I would probably only get neutrals for her since she's not very daring. On the other hand, if I was shopping for my 60 year old Aunt.. she's wild and fun and I would go with bold colours for her (got her the red lips pallette last Christmas!)

Neutrals are probably a good way to go since you're looking for everyday colors.
I'd recommend Shroom, Jest, Satin Taupe, and Handwritten.
That way you have highlight, lid, and contour shades, but they provide a variety of different looks.

I'd say Shroom, Wedge, Satin Taupe and Sable. All neutrals, very wearable, not-so-frosty.

I'd suggest neutrals that compliment her skin tone, stay away from Frost or over the top finishes. Mattes and Satin and she doesn't have many wrinkles. I'd go with a highlight shade, a medium close to her skin tone and two dark shades for her crease and outer V and that she can also use as a liner.

Passionate, Clarity, Chrome Yellow and Orange...how's that? haha jk. I was just looking at all the recs and they're so neutral, so i thought i'd mix it up.

I actually don't know if I could recommend colors but my mom loves Naked Lunch and she is your mom's age. Also there was a quad "Boy Beauty" a while ago and it may give you inspiration on some safe colors.
