You can try Dark soul, Pink Bronze, copper sparkle, or emerald green..........For me I have started off with samples so I can know which ones I really want instead of wasting my money on one that I won't like in the long run.....so far I have about 23 samples

You should try Entremauve, Vanilla are my two tops out of my pigment collection. Entremauve is a dark purple and it's great to use for a smokey effect

Hello! I would advise buying samples from ebay. You can get decent size pots from there and that way try out the ones u like before you buy the whole thing! My top five favorite at the moment are jardin airs (from strange hybrid), teal, blue brown, old gold and bright fuchsia!

Vanilla (a staple for any pigment collection), melon, tan, chocolate brown, dark soul, golden olive, copper sparkle, and violet are some that would look gorgeous for your skintone and eyes/hair.

I have a question about pigment. What is it, i know what it looks like but what makes it different than regular eyeshadow aside from the fact that it looks like loose shadow.

I started off with the neutral or more subtle pigments such as Vanilla, Fairylite & Tan. Once I was confident with the application of pigments I then purchased the bolder, brighter colours.

Teal, Copperclast (if you can find it), Golden Lemon, Shimmertime (great highlighter), Chocolate Brown, Violet, and definitely stock up samples as others have suggested. Pigments will last a lifetime, unless you are a MA, so they are well worth the price!!

my first 2 pigments were Vanilla and Tan. I agree, Vanilla is a staple. I see mixed reviews about Tan, but it works for me. I've had these jars for over 4 years. granted, i don't use them everyday, but they are nearly full still. i tend to use vanilla more. (thanks for the Esperanza for the tip about Tan and smokey look...dunno why i never thought of it)

i recently purchased apricot pink pigment from ebay (just make sure the seller is selling legit mac stuff...unfortunately there are some fakers out there).

since pigments last soooo long, i'm planning on buying pigment samples from some specktra sellers (since they can't sell pigment samples on ebay - against US ebay rules)

I <3 my pigments and below is what I would recommend to try for your skintone/features (in order of priority):

Vanilla - staple in any collection
Melon
Dark soul - staple in all my smokey looks
Golden Olive
Chocolate Brown
Golden Lemon
Teal
Violet

i would definitely recommend vanilla and chocolate brown. both are neutral, would compliment your skin tone well, and are staples that you will definitely want in your collection. those are the two that i use the most. these are also good starters because they are easy to work with.

since you're into the smokey eye look, dark soul would be useful -- but in my opinion it's a bit harder to work with bc of the texture. it might take a bit more getting use to.

i would also recommend shimmertime and or deckchair. i have the same eye coloring as you do and i think these colors work really well for pretty pinkish-gold tones. MAC's not selling them anymore, but you can probably find samples or even full bottles from other specktra members. if not, you can also try melon, which is in stores now and is in the same "family" -- though, i think, not as pretty.

have fun building your piggie collection! you're going to love em!!!
