advice on hair curlers

hi everyone! can anyone give me advise on how to postition hair curlers on my head for great curly hair? like where to put the big rollers and the medium and small rolers... do i brush my hair back or work around the part in my hair... basicly whats your tecnique for beautifuly curled hair.

I'm looking more for hair curlers not curling irons.. i'm not talented enough to work a curling iron lol... anyway i'm looking for technique not suggestions on what to buy...

My cousin's hair is about the same length as yours but just a tad shorter. When I curl her hair I use this technique...
