This has probably been brought up 2 million times but I couldn't find much about it!

If it's been posted sorry

Was wondering if anyone has traveled in the last two weeks or less? I'm traveling this week and I'm VERY scared to bring along my traincase!

I normally carry a slew of make-up with me and never check it...carry on.

I'm a tad worried about items breaking but I'm MORE worried that items will be taken when they do a check. I was planning on packing pigments but I'm worried they'll remove them without my knowing and ditch them! :eek2:

Any suggestions? Experiences?

i'm going home to hawaii from my 3 month vacation @ the east coast in a couple of days & i'll be doing the same thing i usually do when travelling-- check everything in! i'm vertically challenge & i hate carrying anything on the plane except my purse. if my bf is with me on a flight then i hand-carry my mu on the plane. other than that, i check them in.

since i always take pix of my hauls after i buy them, i simply videotape those i pack in the suitcase. i take piggies & msf's in their boxes, palettes inside shirts. i just cushion everything with the clothes. oftentimes, i put them in ziploc bags then wrap them w/ my jackets or shirts. so far, i've had my suitcases checked more than 3 times already & i've never had a problem (knock on wood, lol)! actually, the airport ppl are pretty good, once they see the powders are just mu, they don't even open them.

anyway, the video may sound a bit too much but w/ laptops & mu, it's easier to claim insurance w/ proof. don't worry & look forward to a safe & fun trip!!

I flew back on the 17th I think it was, but that was only from Idaho to the DC area. Chapstick & lipstick in a tube are allowed, so I'd guess that other products in a tube, like a bronzing stick or blush similar to a nars multiple would be allowed. And powder products are allowed to, but I'd be careful with loose powders. But other than chapstick I didn't want to deal with anything so I checked everything and used about 1 box of tissues, an old traincase, and various items of clothing to keep my makeup secure.

loose powders are worrying me the most. I REALLY want to take some pigments but I'm also super worried they'll search my checked in baggage and ditch it
