PLEASE EXCUSE MY BAD SKIN.

I have been matched with NW by some MAs and NC by other MAs. I am so confused.
In NW I have SFF NW 47- Seems to much ok.
In NC I tried SFF in NC50 and it was too light, I have not tried NC 55.

In MUFE HD I am 178. MUFE Mat velvet I can't find the perfect shade so I am in between 75-80.

Here are the pics....My skin is looking crazy, I am working on it, please bare with me

Hi there!

To be totally honest, it's a bit hard to tell from artificial light and individual computer moniters tend to have different settings of light as well.

I would try to take pictures standing near a window during the day time in order to get the most accurate results.

That being said, with the current pics I would recommend a NC50-NC55 within the Studio Fix powder range. Also, keep in mind that liquid, creams, and powders can be slightly different tones when you adjust them (i.e. Studio Fix fluid runs darker than the powder, studio finish concealer runs lighter than moisturecover).

Ask an MA to try out a few colors in the same product, one NW on the left, one NC on the right and then take a mirror outside. You'll instantly be able to tell which one you're more comfortable with.

Sorry for the novel....send me a PM if you have more Q's.

Hope that helps!

Thank you so much. I will take some pics during the day and post later. I will definitely PM you should I have more questions.

Thanks again

Glad to help. Good luck, foundation matching is always the most difficult find in makeup. Once you have that, you're golden!

Remember that different formulas are going to be different, like you can be an NC but have to wear an NW in Studio Fix Fluid because it's more warm than say Studio Tech or something else. As long as you get matched, don't worry.

Exactly. For instance I am NW45 in most formulas but NC50 in Studio Tech because it tends to run dark. But if I had to guess, I'd say you're probably NC something or other.

You definitely don't look like an NW at all.

Thanks everyone, so I went to MAC again today. I tried NC50 and NC55, they are both too light (too yellow). The MA said she did not think I was NC at all, but then again, I was wearing powder foundation. She did wipe a spot though, then tried SF NW50 and it blended pretty good.

Well I guess NW it is.... for SFF at least.

Cool too me..I could never find the right one in Mat Velvet either but 173 in HD is perfect

However in MAC...lovely MAC (not)...I am NC45 mixed with NW43

It could just be that she used Studio Fix. You could probably go either way in a different formula.

TISH - That's just strange haha. I wish I had a creative skin tone.

Argggggh, the more I focus on solving this mistry, the more confused I get. The MA says I am definitely not NC and yall say I am definitely not NW

I am nothing then.....Anyway, SFF does not make any of the NCs dark enough for me so I guess NW it will be for this one.

Do you really love this foundation? Maybe try another brand..
Specktra is probably the wrong place to be suggesting ditching MAC but just a thought

A lot of girls love color stay as a dupe for SFF and i believe it may run darker? Or maybe i imagined.. i'm a nc15 so i don't know personally obviously

I'm the exact same skintone as you are! I wear Studio Fix Powder in NW50 since it blends with my skintone.

I'm stuck between NC25 and NC30. You think they'd make an NC27 but my prayers have yet to be answered.

Studio Tech does run dark -- I got the NC15.. and it was dark on me. I have used it for some clients who are NC20-30!

I wanted to try Studio Tech but I love Studio Fix to much to bid farewell. I'd be really tempted to smash it into shapes too.
