Hello everyone

I was looking at the Amplified Creme lipsticks and the texture description sounds AWESOME but I was wondering if any of you guys could give me some REAL insights into the texture.

I own a couple of MAC lipsitcks that are Lustre and Satin textured and I know what Matte is like (Lady Danger's on the way

.

Can anyone tell me how Amplified Creme compares to Satin or Lustre lipsticks?

Thank you all SO MUCH in advance

amplfied cream are very pigmented and creamy. i found that with these i need to swipe it once on my bottom lip and press my lips together and both are good to go.

For me there is very little difference between Satin and Amplified. I seem to get the same color payoff if I compare similar colors. Amplified is great for and type of nude lipstick. It's powerfull, opaque and not at all cakey. Satin might have a bit more sheen. Lustre will be less opaque and even shinier.

The big difference for me - when it comes to Amplified lipsticks - is the way you apply them. In the beginning i applied them straight to my lips.... and that just doesn't work. It's not like normal lipsticks where you can just liberally go over your lips. You get a much better results with Amplified lipsticks if you use a brush to paint your lips.

I even use Amplified lipsticks as a base sometimes, and then on top I like to add a bit of lustre lipstick (when I don't what to go for the glamour of Lipglass).

I'm a huge fan of frosts and lustres and I would say Amplified's are my least favorite finish, it always feels too heavy on my lips (weird I know). I like the color payoff and shimmer of a frost better and find the Lustres way more moisturizing.

The only Amplified Creme I have is Girl About Town...and the colour payoff is huge. I usually just dot it on my lips and use a brush to smooth it out. The texture is quite heavy, and occasionally it will stain my lips, but it is a deep hot pink, so that's kind of to be expected.

They are very heavy, pigmented, and thick, but not in a bad way. YOu have to be careful when applying them, especially if it's a dark colour.

I love them - the colour pay off is wonderful, the feel of them is luxurious. I dont know whether there is a texture diffence in the colours, or just that they have changed the formula over the years, but my Up The Amp (2007) is more matt than one from a few years back (Bare Venus -glossy looking).

They go on like a dream - you do need to smooth them though as they tend to settle into lines otherwise - though i apply straight from the tube. This is the only lipstick finish that i can smush my lips together (a regular habit) without the lipstick moving around - others either wipe off and collect in certain areas, or smudge over the lipline when i do this.
I find if you put balm under (for people with lips prone to drying) then they keep the moisture in. They wear really well without though - and 'dry' to a satin type finish after a while. Amplified Creme is definitely my favourite finish.
