Umm are you talking about the soon-to-be discontinued 168 brush or the PRO 174 brush?

I can't think of any other angled face brushes MAC has made so far?

Ohh, I just bought the 168 yesterday... I haven't really discovered its wonderful properties everyone is talking about. Someone enlighten me, please?

Due to its angeled shape, it is really great at applying contouring colour to the bottom of the cheek bones (or at the temples and jaw bone). Its shape just lends well to "carving" in a nice contour.

the 168 is about to be discontinued? what? boy, i really have been out of the mac loop.

i love the 168 brush. i bought it a couple years ago, i think, and it was actually one of my first MAC brushes. it is seriously the best brush i have found for blush and contouring. i love contouring with refined golden bronzer, then applying shell pearl beauty powder on the apples of my cheeks with the 129 blush brush. it actually gives me defined cheekbones! i'm almost tempted to buy a second 168, if it is in fact going to be discontinued.
