I have a question!

i have the MAC 272 brush, but have no idea how/where to use it? is it just for the crease/or do you use it for blending the eyeshadow?

what's the difference between the 272 from the 222, 224, 217?

also i do have the MAC 150 brush, but never use it anymore.. and am thinking about getting the 109 instead.. (to use for liquid foundation/powder application)

would it be wise to keep it anyway? and what do you ladies/gents use the 150 if at all? or would i be better off getting a kabuki brush?

i loved how the MA applied my liquid face and body foundation and set it with the sheer pressed powder using the 109 brush.... and i feel the 109 would be better for me for full coverage, and the 150 is too big..

or what other brushes should i invest in?

Edited to add:

I keep hearing everyone tell me get the 187 brush, i do have the 130 (it's a bit smaller than i'd like but i do like it).. i have a Sonia Kashuk 187 like brush - do i still really need that brush? i like my foundation very full coverage.. and im hearing that the 187 is only good for light-medium coverage..

I don't like the 187 for foundation, I much prefer the 130.
I'm not sure if the 109 would be a good alternative to the 150, what are you using it for? if it's for applying powder and sort of 'buffing' I'd say the 182 is your best bet.
Sorry, but I can't help on the blending brush question.

I use the 272 for my crease on a daily basis. It creates a soft crease easily without too much blending so it's fast and foolproof for a daytime office look. I have small eyes so the 272 is a good size vs. 217/224 for crease work. I have considered getting the 222 but I like the angled head of the 272 so will probably pick up another 272 before I get the 222.

I use the 272 if I want to define my crease. The 217 or 224 are good for blending the crease after applying colour with the 272.

The 187 is always a good investment. You can us it for foundation (although I prefer the 190), for MSFs or blushes.

I would get a 239 as well for applying e/s on the lid.

thanks ladies!

i have a 239, 217.. was debating ongetting another 217..

i didn't get the 187, i ended up getting the 109 for my liquid foundation and then using the 129 or 150 to set it with powder and i'm liking the results.

i tried the 272 today and it was okay

i think i'll keep it! i was thinking about getting the 275.. but don't know if it's too big for my eyes? (i have kind of a lot of space to ply on my lids)..

i think i am going to get another 239 and 217 though - just a matter of time lol!

i'm going to also save up for the 187 because the MA at MAC used it on my today to apply some primer/moisturizer and i loved how it felt SO soft compared to my sonia kashuk one LOL!

i'm also going to save up for another 239!

is there any other eyeshadow brush i may need?

(i have the 213, 222, 224, 242, 252, 272)

yes i use the 272 for the crease area and then use a 222 or 217 to blend the colour out a little

as far as the 109 i never use it for foundation - i like it for highlight and blush

for foundation i use my fingers or 130 brush... i do have a 190 but rarely use it.

can't comment on the 150 because i don't own that brush!

so i did end up getting a 109 brush (don't know if i mentioned that)..

but i did and i use it for my MAC Face & Body liquid foundation and i LOVE the airbrushed effect it gives me.. i don't know if i really need the 187 only because the one at MAC i had tried out was streaky (or maybe the MA just didn't clean it well enough?)

im debating about selling my MAC 219 brush because i have no idea what the heck to use it for LOL.. i have a Essence of beauty brush similar to it and i don't know what else it's good for.. i had originally bought it to learn to do cut crease looks with it.. but who am i kidding - i've got two toddlers and no time to realy play anymore LOL

Thanks for all the info for the 227! Can you believe my brand new brush has been sitting in its package for about a year now because i haven't bothered to use it? I definitly will now!!!

I use the 272 all over my lid, as well as the crease. It's one of those brushes than can do everything, like the 275. Apply wash on the lid, do crease with the pointy end, then blend it all with the same brush. The 275 is bigger, but it's still a medium-sized brush (not huge like the 252 or anything). The 272 and 275 are my favourite mac eye brushes actually.
