So I've just gotten into the mineralized skinfinishes and i never thought that i would like the glowy look but i do love it. Has anyone come across any drugstore brand shimmering blushes or products with a similar effect. I am NC45 for reference.

Thanks!

Either Maybelline or CoverGirl have shimmery loose powders that are pretty neutral. You can put them over or mix them with a blush to create an effect similar to MSF.

I have one but I'm at work. I don't remember the exact name! Ahhhhh! Ummmmmmmm...I'll post again when I get home tonight <3

I like the Milani or Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips/Glimmer Strips. They kind of look like BB Shimmerbricks but in packaging that isn't as nice lol. Very glowy...not as intense as MAC, but I like them more sometimes. I will wear these during the day, but will only touch my MSFs at night!

Physicians Formula Baked blushes have also been compared. Baked Berry is compared to Stereo Rose a lot on MUA. I have all 3 of the Baked Blushes and I love them all. Again, they're more subtle than MSFs. These are VERY hard to find and have been dc/clearances at most drugstores but I still see them sometimes...I think at Target. Check somewhere that has a big PF section.

Also, NYC just made a product that is a dupe of them. They look similar with the some shape and same kind of packaging (obviously MAC looks nicer). I haven't tried them (haven't been able to find them!), but there are great reviews on MUA. I've been looking everywhere for these with no luck though, so they are probably mostly sold out/very hard to find. I'm not sure what they're called either, but if you search highlighters by NYC on MUA, you shouldn't have a problem finding it. These were also LE which makes it that much worse. Hopefully they'll get positive feedback from customers and make them permanent.

Wet N Wild All Over Shimmer 832D is amazing! Again, great reviews on MUA. I actually think I like this better than Shimpagne. It's kind of hard to find, but it is permanent and about $3. Comes in the same white plastic, square compact that the Wet N Wild blushes and bronzers come in. This, IMO, is a must have. I take it everywhere with me because I baby my MSFs.

I'm pretty good w/ DS stuff, so I will let you know if I think of anything else.

^^Thanks! I will definitely have to check out the Physician's Formula. I did find the Milani Shimmerbrick look alike. I saw that PF has a baked bronzer now too. I think there are only two colors Baked Tan and Baked Bronze or something like that. Ever tried those? I think I've actually seen those wet and wild ones so hopefully I can find it again. I looked in like a million stores for those NYC's and couldn't find them. I finally found 1 when I wasn't even looking. I never found the other one. I am like you.. I'm too scared to take my MSF's with me!

I think Prestige makes some now too. I haven't tried them though, so that might not be too helpful.
Also, there's abrand called Tera Del Sol. I haven't seen them in any stores (I think some girls ob MUA said they think they're only sld in Germany). There is one that's basically an exact dupe of pleasureflush. Are you familir with MUA? If you search the boards for pleasureflush dupe there are pictures, and they're amazing. I think they are about half the price of MSFs. This might not be helpful at all if hey are, in fact, exclusive to Germany. I have seen some baked blushes though that look similar at my local beauty supply store. They are also about $14. May help to check some of those stores out.

I really want the NYC one. I saw swatched of the one that looks like Light Flush, and I actually think it's nicer than light flush. How do you like it?
I'd def try to find the PF Baked blushes-esp Baked Berry. Good luck

I second this Prestige one...soooo awesome. Wenever I wear it as a highlighter I look much more alert and it really brings out my blush. I use the tanish one...I can find any other ones they were sold out so they must be working for other girlies too.

I am on the hunt for those NYC highlighters too! They are called Chroma Face and the colors were Sunstone and Moonstone. Supposedly Moonstone is the dupe for Petticoat

I have searched Walmart, Target, Walgreens (which discontinued selling NYC completely!), CVS and my local grocery store's cosmetic section. If anyone can find either one, would you PLEASE post where you found it and how it was dispayed (like are they in the regular NYC section next to the powders or where?!). Or PM me...please! I am obsessed with finding these lol!

And thanks for the heads up on the Wet N Wild... I am going to get that one tomorrow too!

I have the Prestige one and I like it!

Milani has these glimmer stripes (looks like a knock off of the Bobbi Brown shimmer bricks) and they're also very nice. I used it in my profile picture.

I have baked Tan and love it. It is a dupe for a MSF. I want to say Shimpagne or Naked You, i can't remember.

On MUA in reviews, it says this:
This is an exact dupe of Urban Decay baked bronzer in "Gilded." EXACT

I also have the Shimmerstips and love them. I have one that has gold at the top that I use as a highlight, I use the darkest color as a contour.

I have the Baked Berry Blush, which is more pink than berry. It is a dupe for Stereo Rose MSF.
