Any fellow MAC employees...

...I am planning to go to Chicago next week for the first time since I have received my employee card and plan to do some shopping there as my haul will end up being slightly cheaper. Have any of you used it internationally? I am pretty sure I'll be able to use it, but I'm wondering, how do they track international purchases in terms of our yearly limit? I'm just curious.

I'm pretty sure you could use your card anywhere as long as its not a counter, my manager told me that we couldnt get discounts at the mac counters but any other freestanding store we could. I'm pretty sure they have the cards in the system and track the limit the computer.

Thanks. Yeah, that's what I was thinking, that scanning the card would just pull up your purchase profile on the computer. But, I wonder how they keep track of different currencies in terms of one's limit? I had a coworker mention that she used her employee card in Rome. Like, would my US dollar purchase be converted into Canadian currency?

it proab would be switched as US currency since they really keep tabs on it, they dont want to confuse themsleves. I'm not 100% sure but i dont think it would make you get to your limit faster (if the currency is higher and vice versa for lower currency).
