Any make-up recommendations for older women?

Hi!

Me and sis are about to take our dearest grandma to the mall for a makeover.
She's a very active lady in her 70's.
-short silver hair
-warm beige skin tone
-blue eyes

Any recommendations on the best palette that would work for her?
Foundation, eye shadows, lipcolor and blush

Thanks a lot!

Put something like Gleam on her eyes, since that will bring out the blue.

If she's interested in blush, try something like Springsheen. But if she's super dry, she may prefer a cream blush (maybe Lilicent or Cheery?)

For lips, maybe try Viva Glam V lipstick if she likes neutrals, or pick something like Sandy B if she prefers more color?

Go light with the foundation. Tinted moisturizers are better for older women. The lighter the makeup, the better.

well, avoid all shimmery/frost finishes.... Woodwinked I tried to use with my mommy on her 60th bday but was glad I had something like Soba I(a satin finish) because any frosty/shimmery shade horribly accentuates any and all wrinkles!! Try a healthy peachy pink blush (cream would be nice due to dry skin) and all neutrals for the eyes. My mom is not used to eyeliner pencils and she's a damn "blinker" LOL so I used Espresso e/s as a liner with the 212 brush, along with dark brown (name escapes me) MAC mascara X... some shimmer on the lip would be nice, but use a liner to avoid feathering.... in a pink shade perhaps? The softer the better!!
For reference, my mother is of Swedish/German descent, with blonde hair/blue eyes, probably an NW25 in coloring....By the way, I think it is absolutely awesome you guys are doing this for your grandma!!!! My mom, sister and I love to hit the MAC counter together!

I agree with what everyone said, soft look is better also keep it light and comfortable for her (nothing too heavy or dark). Since your grandma is fairly light in complexion and has blue eyes, if you used any liner or shadow at all I would go with nice greys, browns and purples. If she's adventureous colour is welcome but use a light hand. Oh and also before makeup is applied make sure her skin is well moisturized so she won't feel dried out. As for blush I think powder is just easier to apply, dryness should not be a problem if you pre-moisturize. You might want to use a primer if there's still dryness issues. As for lipstick, a nice rose or warm pink is nice. If you go for something bolder, like a retro red remember to use l/l. And as tiramisu suggested keep the shimmer down to a minimum.

Have fun!
