Im in need for money...especially for school. By the time I buy all my books I will only have less than $100 in my bank account and Im going to have to pay for my insurance which is like over $150 a month then I have my little kitties to take care of I will be spending at the most $40 a month on food and litter. I dont know if I will be able to work two jobs because I will be a full time student. Im working right now but I dont think it will be enough. I will be denied financial aid because I still live with my parents and my father makes a lot of money but even though he will be making a lot of money im practically on my own with school. SOOOO I was wondering if any of you know any ways to make extra money?? I keep hearing about these things where if you take some surveys they give you money or if you do mystery shopping they will pay you? I dont know...

I might have to sell some of my MAC stuff and clothes arg...any ideas? it would be a lot of help!

im going to uni and i have a part time job and my student loan/grants cover my uni fees living cost, when your a student you have to learn to sacrifice a few things. i wont be living at home so i wont have my mum doing stuff for me. maybe do a big weekly shop to tide you over.. cut back on random expenses, make up, clothes shoes etc etc. learn to stretch the pennies..

I take surveys online. But I am telling you now, any legitimate one, it takes a couple years of taking surveys to amount to any significant dollar amount. No one is going to pay you $500 for taking a survey. It's spam and it sucks. There are a couple that pay cash after a certain amounts of points are accrued, but like I said, it takes awhile to accrue those points. Most give you points that can be redeemed for different products, ranging from magazine subscriptions to digital cameras to tool kits.

Look into serving (waitress). The hours are super flexible and the money is great. I'd say about 20 people I work with are putting themselves through school waiting tables part time.

I work about 20 hours a week and usually make about $250-300 in that week. And, I don't work weekends. Well, Friday day and Sunday night, but those aren't really the "good" money making shifts.

You'll figure something out. Good Luck!

I was just going to suggest the exact same thing. A friend of mine put herself through University, and her Master's degree by waitressing a couple of nights a week. Good luck.

What about a phone sex operator. I hear that they pay pretty well and you can set your own hours. I don't know how you would fell about talking nasty to dirty old me but it's a quick gig. My BF did secret shopping and she tried to get me to do it. I looked into it and the catch with most of them is that you have to put your money up first. For example, I went to a restaurant to do a secret shopping gig with my BF and she had to pay for dinner and wait for the company to send the check to reimburse her for the dinner (which I think the reimbursement was like $30) and for the fee for doning the secret shopping which was about $30. So you have to put money up first for some which sucks if you're hurting for money.

any restaurant gig will help out - if you want a more steady income, work as a host, or to make the bigger bucks, work as a server. dancing is also a very profitable business, but you have to have one strong personality to make it. it's very easy to get sucked in or do things you don't want to do because the management threatens you with your job (i worked as a bartender in a strip club, i've seen this all happen up close).

look into babysitting - post ads in the school paper or around campus, or even just look in the paper yourself for the parents who place ads looking for someone. i did that three days a week one year and loved it. the little boy was an absolute sweetheart and i had plenty of time to get my work done.

i knew a girl who got through school by working as a maid too. she liked it, but i know that's not for everyone!

When I was in grad school, one of my classmates made a lot of money bartending...she would work three nights a week and would bank about $1,000 in tips alone...
