You can't get rid of them.
Pores won't shrink; all you can do is make them appear smaller by keeping them cleaned out.
I use pore strips once a week to help with that, as well as a daily glycolic acid product to keep the pores from clogging up even worse.

Sephora sell shis product by Dr Brant called "pores no more." I've only tried it on my hand but they recommended it for my wedding. It's about $45.00 a tube and comes out an odd orange color but it blends away. I'm NC 15/20 so if it blends away for me, it'll blend away for people who aren't as pale. It filled in the lines of my fingers AND it made the pores/lines on the back of my hand disappear. I don't know how it would do on larger pores, but it's worth a try. Next time I have money I'm planning to get it. It has a really silky texture that makes me want to put it on my face

My doctor told me that unfortunately you can only make them smaller w/a cosmetic surgery procedure performed with a laser.

don't apply anything shimmery over them. it'll only make them more obvious. if you get shiny/oily on your nose, use blot powder throughout the day to take away the shine.

Good article on Large Pores and the causes:
Large Pores - How to Shrink the Appearance of Large Pores

Excerpt:
Makeup Tips – Reduce the Appearance of Large Pores
Never underestimate the power of cosmetics to minimize even the most prominent of facial flaws. Try reducing the appearance of large pores by using the following technique:

Start with a pre-foundation skin primer, which will help even out your skin tone and keep foundation from soaking into your pores.
Let the primer dry, and then apply your foundation using a makeup sponge. Use a cream or cream-to-powder foundation, which is more likely to conceal large pores than liquid foundation.
Finally, dust your face with a loose translucent powder. Large pores will be less visible, and your skin tone will appear more even.

Hey sweetcheeks,

Along with what everyone else recommends, you could try Estee Lauder Idealist. It comes in a mint green tub and there is a smaller and a larger size. It is basically made for minimising pores and working on oily skin or flakiness...... so it is for a RANGE of skin imperfections.

Anyway you put this on in the morning before you moisturise and the horsechestnut and other ingredient help to remoe plugs of oil and dirt so that the walls of the pores can close up slightly and look less large.

I work for Estee lauder so when I get home tonight I shall post up the proper description and list of ingredients for you. I mean, I don't know what everyone else will say but I find that it has worked REALLY well for me (along with the rest of my skincare regime being solid).

Hope that helps a little bit

Estee Lauder has a great pore minimizer...I got a sample of it with a gift with purchase, and it really makes your skin silky smooth. I'm not sure how well it reduces the appearance of pores, so maybe you can try a sample of it before spending the $.

I have large pores on my nose and cheeks

What has really helped is being extremely religious about removing my make up every night and being sure to wash my face in the morning as well. I use EL Idealist Micro D as an exfoliating scrub a few times each week as well.

Other products that I've found to really work are Arden's Overnight Success Serum and Clinique's Even Better or Turn Around Concentrate. The Arden version seems to be just a bit stronger than Clinique's. After I started using either of those is when I really started noticing that my pores appeared much smaller and my skin was much smoother. Along with those (obviously I only use 1 at a time, but they all work basically the same... the newer Even Better is the same as Turn Around, but it also works like Repairwear as well) I also use Clinique's Turn Around 15 Minute Facial about 2x each week as well.

I really do like EL Idealist (and I still use it) but I never noticed it making that big of a difference.

A good primer before your make up application also does wonders as well

Like everyone's stated, you can't really make your pores smaller and I still don't have flawless skin, but I'm very happy with how much smoother my skin looks now... I don't feel like a freak with huge pores now LOL

Another product that is suppose to be good is Smashbos Anti-Shine. I want to get a sample the next time I'm a Sephora.
