Whenever I use Electric Eel e/s as a liner or on the lid it leaves faint blue lines in the crease area from having my eyes open. Does anyone else have the same problem with this particular e/s and are there any ways to prevent it?

mmhm. try using a good base.. i use bare canvas paint. if it still seems to crease a bit, try using freshwater e/s. they're very similar but freshwater stays a lot better

I would second using a good base... I use MAC Paint on the lid to browbone and a thin layer of MAC Cream Color Base on top of that.

Too if you are using it as a liner, I like to line with Out to Sea Powerpoint pencil first and THEN use EE over the top of it, that makes the color pop more and also has the added benefit of having the Powerpoint to stick to.

im going to have to agree with her i really dont ever wear eyeshadow without using a base anymore beacuse for 1 it incresses the staying power, it amps the color up, and prevents it from creasing

i personally use MAC cover up as a base and i find it works very well but paint also works well

Ok, well I agree with what your saying and I use paints and shadesticks as bases, but I think you might have misunderstood the question.

I meant that I get blue lines from the electric eel on the color that I use in my crease, like overtop that color. For example, if I use Golden Olive pigment all over my lid and into the crease and use Electric Eel e/s as a liner, little blue marks will show up around the crease area.

When I use the Powerpoint liner first and don't PACK on the color, just put a little on the tip of a 263 brush, it doesn't do it for me (and yes, my liners and e/s used to do that all the time).

Thanks. It usually isn't very noticable, but I thought I'd see if anyone else had noticed this with Electric Eel or any other colors.

this happens to me with almost every colour i use to line my eyes with. i think it was happening because i wasn't using a good base... i have just bought some Bloom eye paint (cheaper than MAC here in Aus) for a trial run to see if it helps. if it does i intend to invest in some MAC paint

a MAC MA showed me how to use a line of white kohl underneath when lining with shadow - i don't know if that would fix the rubbing off into the crease issue but it makes the colour really stand out without adding any extra tints to it.

Maybe you could use a little Invisible Set Powder over Electric Eel (or other shades). This will help prevent it from transferring.

i tend to use a fluidline then pack the shadow over it, I haven't had any shadow creasing doing it that way.

This happens to me also whenever I use ANY ES as a liner. I use UDPP and nothing else budges. I think it has to do with the fact that it's a more of a powder form.
