unfortunately i can't remember where the frick-n-frack i put our digital camera, otherwise i'd try to. i took the bleach off before it reached the level of the model in sephora's holiday catalog but i may shoot for that after i get my roots touched up sometime in the next few weeks.
oh yes pretty pretty please!! since I saw it in that "making-faces" book I'm really thinking about it but just can't imaging how it looks if it's not in a book
I did once. I bleached them with face hair bleach. I only wanted to lighten them just a bit. I put tissue over the bleach to keep it from falling into my eyes. It looked fine when I was done.
yes, zap, that's what i use. jolen's in fact. i'm wanting to shoot for that holiday model on sephora's site (and in their catalog) but i don't wanna scare dh plus i don't know if mine are dense enough to look as defined as hers.
i think until you know what your brows can handle it's best to lift by checking every 2 min. there's directions in the box of jolen bleach, btw.
I used to, and I would dye them to match whatever color my fringe was at the time (I went through a variety of colors, some of you may remember some of them).
I always get them dyed to match my base color every time i get my hair done, my hair is naturally a dark dark brown but i have it very heavily highlighted blond with a slightly darker base, and i HATE it when i see girls with blond hair and dark eyebrows, so i dye them. it fades/grows out pretty quickly though, so by the time i need to get my hair done again, they match my roots LOL
Oh yeah, and everytime i get my hair done, i end up going to the mac counter and my ma always tells me how much she loves my eyebrows...so i guess they don't look bad
ok, ive tried to bleach mine before, but got scared and wiped it off fast. I have almost black brows and brown hair, has anyone else here bleached brows w/ facial bleach that dark before, and if so, do they not go orange? TIA
Honestly you must be very comfortable with your inherent structure to bleach them light. i have done it numerous times on set and the model always looks very alienesc. i love the look but it will change your entire appearance. looks better on very angular faces.
also:
this will sting/ itch a bit
make sure if you want blonde not yellow to bleach them to white
using a lower volume developer for a longer time in 2 applications
cover with plastic wrap so the bleach does not dry up
tone with an ash color natural appearance
*very few people are actually experienced with doing this process well*
takes about 3 months for the natural to grow back completely
