Hi everyone.

Really need your help, about two weeks ago i applied to mac never thinking id hear anything back because one the girls at the counter said they werent hiring.......today i got a phone call and they want me to come in for a interview in two weeks(the manager is just gone on hols)but the thing is i dont feel like im good enough for mac.

I started off by going to beauty school then in jan i done a make up artist course and got my dipolma(not sure what its called in u.s)
I LOVE make up & theres nothing else id love to do but to be honest the make up artists at mac are AMAZING and i dont think im even half as good so what should i do?

I always get nervous in interviews aswell which doesnt help.Any tips or hints?

Anyone here ever dealt with mac in dublin ireland?

Thanks everyone i just suppose im looking to hear that you all felt that way at some stage.

Be yourself and have confidence that you can do it. Everyone gets nervous before an interview but don't worry. Once you get there and start your demo you will be fine. You will be so "in the zone" that it won't even feel like an interview because you are so into what you are doing. If you don't pass the demo then who cares. You can take that as a learning experience and move forward. Honestly though... it's not that hard. Just remember to sanitize and keep your work area clean and tidy.

Remember, in the end, it's a retail job, plain and simple. Believe in your abilities and knock 'em dead with your personality. the skills come with practice and time. good luck!

I agree as well. That's basically how I got my job with MAC (except take out that part where you had experience-cause other than fine arts training, I had about 2 weeks of retail experience & like 2 months of doing makeup on myself)...so yeah, in the end, it's just a retail job so be yourself & you'll be fine.
