Honestly, I have the revlon eyelash curler & I love it.
What I do is:
- take a blow dryer & heat up my eyelash curler
- after it cools down a little I curl my lashes
- then apply mascara.
This method works great for me

I rotate btw the MAC curler, the Kevyn Aucoin curler and the Shu Uemura curler. They are all very similar in quality. I think that the Shu is the best for my eye shape though.

i find almost all lash curlers to be about the same. what you are really paying for is the name, and because of that you think the name brand ones work better. what you really wanna look at is the padding on it. you want to replace the pad when it becomes too soft. and after a few years, replace the curler itself.

for years i was using the sonia kashuk curler, and it worked great. i recently switched to the mac one, and it curls the exact same. the only differences are that it is slightly shorter from corner to corner, so my outer lashes don't get curled, and i don't think the sk ones come with a replacement pad like mac's does. no biggie.

I have the MAC curler, the Shu curler... but I still like my Sonia Kashuk curler better. They all seem the same to me.

Luckily my mall has a Shu U. store. I went in to test out the in famous curler. I didn't think it was amazing at all. The s.a. told me that "their curler is made to fit an eye with short straight lashes", so I wouldn't see a difference on myself. If I had those lashes, I would have shelled out the $$, but luckily, the mac one is fine for me!

I could totally use a curler like that. I don't bother to curl my lashes because they don't work with my short straight Asian lashes.

hmm.. im surprised to see that people like the MAC curler. it did not curl my lashes as well as my Shu. i have no problems with the eyeshape, but the curling works better with the shu. i usually curl my lashes before and after mascara. the mac curler falls short when i curl after mascara. it doesnt do anything really... but my shu has never failed me!

so... nay for mac curler :/
