Are shampoo + conditioner for color treated hair worth buying?

I'm dying my hair, from dark brown to black. I'll more than likely need something conditioning because my hair isn't in the greatest shape. I was wondering if once I dye it black should I switch to products for color treated hair, or not bother because its just black (If that makes any sense?) If I should, can anyone recommend me products?

Hi! I use garnier 2in1 shampoo and conditioner for treated hair.
But for me it doesn't work, the formula seems very strong that I ended up with dry and rough hair instead compared to when I used garnier 2in1 for normal hair. I finally had to wear hair mask afterwards.

Hm, you'd think it would be better for your hair and make it feel better because dyed hair is normally more damaged. :\

Color treated poo's and conditioners don't work well, using a moisturizing poo and conditioner will be better. Preferably use a poo without any sulfates as they can strip the color and dry your hair out. Loreal or Tresemme should work nicely.

I've used expensive shampoo and conditioners from Kerastase after dying my hair
but honestly, it didn't make much difference. :(
