Hello! I bought a couple of pre owned fluidlines (waveline and dipdown) online from a private seller and in the pictures the liners looked really authentic and the seller at least believes they are authentic.
But when I received them the first ting I noticed was the outer package is different to my fluidline packages bought last year at my local MAC counter. The other thing is the bottom sticker, that is exactly the same otherwise, but the text on the black bottom is whiter than the fluidlines I have from before.
To the left are the ones i bought and to the right my old rich ground.
Okay so it's more obvious IRL but as you can see, the text on waveline and dipdown is whiter than my other fluidlines. The picture kinda looks like the other side is more lighted but that is not the case.
From left to right: waveline, dipdown (the ones I'm afraid are fake), rich ground, blacktrack (for sure authentic.)
I have a strong feeling they are fake BUT then I checked when they were manufactured and it says A65, which inclines the liner where made in june 2005. Does anyone have an old fluidline or remember if they used to come in a box like this?
So what do you think? Am I just hysteric about this or are the fakes getting this good? Other than this they smell and feel the same, and the package is 100% the same.
AND just to be clear I'm not going to use the liners because a,If there's the smallest chance it's fake, it's not touching my face b, if it turns out genuine 2005 is REALLY old. So this is more like out of curiosity figuring out if the fakes are this good (because in that case I'm not going to buy online anymore) and spreading the word
