Are these pigments real?

got addicted to MAC pigments recently and i got these in a swap but they look different from those i've gotten off the counter myself. so can anyone tell me if they're real?

when i open the cover, there's also this "smoke" that comes out of the container. do the pigments do that?

any help will be much appreciated.

You know, I bid (and won) a Pink Pearl Pigment off ebay. Problem is when i typed a search I put in Pink Pearl Pigment and left out the MAC. I won, and paid, but when I recieved it the pigment smoked when I opened it. It was more finely milled than reg. pink pearl that I got as a sample.
what colors are those?

i got these pigments from a swap from another forum (which i shall not name but is also a rather well known one) and that person have very credible swap points.

the lovely lily and goldenaire which i bought off the counter myself didn't smoke either. so i was pretty surprised to see this one "smoke".

the colour on the left, she named it as Golden Lemon and the one on the right, chocolate brown.

i think i got cheated.

if thats suppossed to be chocolate bornw, it doesnt look like any i have seen. and none of my pigments smoke. so yeah i think you got cheated.

It's not Golden Lemon...Golden Lemon is more lemon-y and a bit lighter and more finely milled than that.

The one on the left looks somewhat like my Crystalled Orange glitter...as for the one on the right...it looks like dust

The only MAC pigments that smoke when you open them are the metal pigments but none of them looks like a metal piggie!

that is def not golden yellow and the other one is def not choc brown...


choc brown has goldish specks... and the golden lemon is yellow (like pretty freaking yello)... i can put up pics later on. and neither of mine smoke at all when i open!

I don't know about the one on the left but the right one reminds me of BE eyeshadow. I have several and they do "smoke" at times when you open the containers.

One looks like deep dark brown with glitter in it....

Sadly I don't think those are really.
I've never had a pigment smoke.
I can tell you that does not look like Golden Lemon or Chocolate brown.
Golden Lemon is like this (it's a bit lighter than this pic but not by much.)

Just because someone has good feed back doesn't me they couldn't be giving you the wrong product.
They might just have not got caught yet.
Those could very well be pigments from another m/u line.

Do you know if the person made the samples herself or if she got them from someone else?

I have both, but my digicam is down right now so I can't take pics. There is no way that is golden lemon or chocolate brown. I'd email the seller and ask what's up.

Golden Lemon is clearly yellow, and I don't think any of my pigments "smoke" although I know what you're talking about because my Clinique loose bronzer does this. Sorry, you were scammed.
