attending wedding reception in 2 months

I'm going to attend a family friend wedding reception in 2 months and wanted to know what I should wear. please no dresses.

french connection have a few i love (but for some reason only sell one on the USA website):

What time of day is the wedding and how formal?

You could probably get away with a nice pair of black or brown pants and a blouse. Make sure the blouse is pretty and the outfit doesn't look too business meeting

the reception is at 6pm and it doesn't have to be that formal but we have to dress nice.

Since you dont want to wear a dress, i would wear a white/cream colored dress pants and an elegant bridal coloered top (white, pastels, red, those sort of colors)

You can wear slacks.

Think office attire. lol. Wear a nice dressy top.

Then heels, if you can, or wedges (those are more comfortable).
