Attn Toronto PATH takers

If you haven't seen it yet....

Last Friday I took the underground PATH from the usual Eaton Centre to Union station.. wasn't paying much attention til I turned a corner and what did I see?!??!?!
A MAC store IN THE PATH?!?!? Coming in October !!! oh YA baby..
I was screaming inside... Just wanting to run up to the walls and give it a great big HUG!! While also thinking of all the work, trains, buses and subways I am going to miss because MAC has entered the PATH.

I can't wait... I love the Eaton Centre store but this one is going to be way too accessible.

there already is one that's sort of in the path, right at yonge station in the bay store... well tacked onto it.

toronto's path has nothing on montreal's though *jealous*

Wow, I bet a lot of the ladies that work in that area, Royal Bank and Exchange Tower will be shopping there. Is this going to be a Freestanding or Pro store? It would be nice if they moved the Pro store on Queen St. to this new location. It would be easier to get to. I know MAC opened up a Freestanding store inside the Eaton Centre in May. I haven't checked it out although I do shop at the Eaton Centre sometimes.

Well this one will be a freestanding store.
I called MAC Corp. office and she said she wasn't sure if it will be a PRO store but probably not because there aren't many PRO stores in one city.

This store is near the Union Station Entrance from the PATH.. I think its close to the new food court or the Indigo book store.. I don't know.. my memory is blurred... I am going to try to take it again to refresh my memory.

why in the world would they move the PRO store from one of if not THE top trendy retail area in toronto (queen west) to an underground plaza?

and they wouldn't open 2 pro stores in the same city. i think the USA even only has about 4 or 5 total.

If someone polled MAC shoppers in Toronto, I believe many would love the Pro Store to be moved to a more accessible location that's right on the subway line and easier to reach. I know my friends who buy MAC would love it! Still glad to here that a MAC store is coming to the Underground plaza, lots of MAC customers who work in the area, and tourists will be happy no doubt!!

I concur..
I agree with Queen west being a prime location. Always nice to visit that location and do other shopping and the artists there are very nice.
I walked by the store to be this morning and I coudn't help smiling.. I can't wait..

Its not located that close to Indigo.. It is a few steps from the Union station entrance.. close to the new Calvin Klein store and I believe close to the RBC machines.

I'm retarded but which building is it going to be in? Or maybe tell me where the PATH can be accessed? I mean the underground concourse is so big...TIA!

Oh I saw it too!! I'm so excited ... no more trips to the eaton centre or bay during my precious lunch time!! I wonder if my work will give me MAC breaks lol!!
I think the Pro store is perfect on Queen St. bc that whole area has an artsy funky vibe ... just like the Pro store itself!

That one is actually a MAC counter at the Bay (which is upstairs) and the PATH doesn't go that far up ... it ends at yonge & dundas

Either exit the path @ the Union station TTC Subway entrance - the entrance near Shopper's Drug Mart and keep walking straight.. a few steps and you'll see it from there.

Or go into RBC Plaza @ Bay/Front take the escalators down and turn right - You will see it.

If you go into either of these places just ask someone. They will help.

haha.. I go to the Eaton Centre store on my lunch time too.. I will be there in about 15 minutes today! very excited.
I would like to blow my whole pay cheque on you MAC... but I can't..

But that is soooooo cool! Espcially since they just opened a freestanding within Eaton's Centre (finally, I say!) earlier this year. I don't venture much towards Union station but I have a great inclinaton to explore that PATH now...

Next step: Open a freestanding north of Hwy 7!! I know I'm dreaming b/c they wouldn't get as much traffic but I would love to have somewhere closer to buy my palettes and pan shadows. =D

You know I was thinking the same thing too..
I live in North East Brampton close to Vaughan and they don't have one in Vaughan at all... not even in Vaughan Mills which is a HUGE suprise to me since vaughan and some of the surrounding area is considering slightly more upscale. But I am sure one will be in the works soon.
The closest MAC out here is The Bay @ Bramalea City Centre... but it would be nice to have a freestanding store in Brampton or Vaughan.
It will be in my prayers tonight.

I always get lost in the underground PATH, so I will never find this new MAC.

I don't take it enough to know where I'm going.

It's faster for me to walk outdoors and shop at the other Pro stores... but I do appreciate you telling us of a new MAC store!

lol, I know, me too, but I'll try to get it right at least once to visit this store. They always bring the best to open up the store and they're so fun and enthusiastic during the first few weeks. =D

Don't worry - its in a central location.. if you start @ Union station you will be bound to find it.
Hmmm... I wonder if the hours of the store are going to be about the same as the rest of the stores in the PATH.

OK PATH MAC... its October.. hurry and open up.
I walked by the PATH MAC a couple weeks ago and the door just happened to be open so I peeked inside... it was still a shell.

I called MAC corporate - they don't know when its opening..
I may cry when it opens up for business.
