Back to Brown..

So my boyfriend forgets to tell me that we are in fact going to his family reunion thingy this weekend. There will be over 100 ppl at this thing, mostly older relatives that I havent met, and a lot of ppl who "really want to meet me."

I have blue hair.

Yeah...so blue hair doesnt go over well with the old dutch folks (at least most of them...my grandma loved it hehe)...and I dont want their first impression of me to be "that blue haired girl."

Plus, It has been over a month since I dyed my hair, and before that it was like 6 months...
(hair dye addict here...hehe)

So I am kinda bored of the blue and hankering for a new colour, and I cut my bangs again and they seem to look better when they are in a natural colour.

Anyone have any advice for dying blue hair brown?

Yeah, its recommended to bleach out the colour/remove the blue first...but i dunno what goes wrong but if I try to bleach over the blue (ie: remove it) nothing happens

I had blue streaks on brown hair and then i wanted it all blue so I bleached my whole head again and when the bleach was done I had blondey yellow hair with blue streaks...

Well, since you're having trouble removing the blue dye, you could try a temporary brown dye. In case it does result in disaster, so it won't be permanent.

If you're up for it, keep trying to get out the blue dye, which I assume is temporary. Some people recommend washing with dish soap or Prell shampoo.

Or you could wear a scarf or a hat

if you use a colour remover, do NOT leave it on longer than 30 minutes or it WILL cause serious damage and breakage to your hair! if you can afford to, get yourself to a salon to get the colour remover done because it can be really difficult to do that part yourself

okay I dyed it over top...and it worked somewhat...

the brown turned out quite dark...almost black but i like it cuz i like black hair on me...

but you can kinda see a bluish greenish tint underneath...which doesnt really bother me so yeah...

i think after a while (after the black fades out a bit) i may dye it again with a warm colour so that it cancels out the green/blue underneath
