Badly Shedding Posh Brushes - Should I buy up?

I love the cheap Posh brushes, but after having them for a year or two they started to shed badly. For example if my foundation/moisturizer is not 100% dry it will deposit so much hair on my face that I have to wash it all off and start over.

So the question is: is it worth buying up to a better brush set? I'm thinking maybe yes because I would guess the better ones last longer? (I still have a 15 year old Trish McEvoy brush that doesn't shed...)

If so, which brand? I am not a pro MUA and I travel a lot. It would be great to have a sturdy travel set. I was sad to see that MAC doesn't have a travel brush set just now.

Is Sephora brand really sturdy? Or MUFE? I noticed they had travel sets.

Or maybe I should just get the MAC brushes. Heh.

i had old brush it didnt last it ended up in the trash... so I went to save up and got Mac brushes.
I recommend you to get
#187 for( you can use to apply powder or liquid foundation or blush)
#168 contour brush( contour or blush application)
#217 blending brush ( i use as to apply eyeshadow, blending and highlight

or sometimes I wait during the x-mas holiday cause they sell brush set.

Yeah, it's worth buying and it last longer.

upgrade to mac...just buy one brush at a time when you have some extra $$. think of it as a long term project. get the brush shapes that you most often used from your posh set first.

If you are going to invest in more expensive brushes I would suggest buying 1 brush every paycheck until you get the number of brushes that you want. For cost effective brushes I would suggest Sigma Brushes, Sonia Kashuk ( available at Target) or even looking into dupable paintbrushes. Personally I've tried all of the options listed above and as a result I have a nice mixture of brushes that will serve me for a long time. Remember that care is an important facet of having brushes for the long haul. HTH

I thnk it would depend on the brand. I have a 182 and treat it like the rest of my brushes that almost never shed even one hair and every time I use it at least 7-8 hairs come off and I only use it to blend blush.
