Eh, Barbie's not my bag, but I won't condemn MAC for it, since I know a lot of people like it. - I'll just wait til they come out with something "darker" and more my style.

I just saw the new MAC/Barbie collection. While I hate the concept, the make up is just so damn fun. Lots of pretty and feminine yet sexy shades. There's a BOLD hot pink lipstick and hot pink lipglass (think that BOLD Barbie hot pink), but aside from that, the rest of the collection is really quite wearable. I think the stars in the line are the lipglasses - all very pretty, wearable, sexy shades. A high shine light pink, glossy nude, pretty plum, etc

When it comes down to it, Barbie has so much more class than Bratz. I would never take MAC seriously if they ever decided to do something with Bratz, which in my personal opinion has ruined the toy industry by turning dolls into pornstars. However, like many others have said, I have complete faith in MAC. MAC does everything with class, style, and are ALWAYS ahead of their game in the fashion world. Do you know how many other cosmetic companies would kill to have this opportunity with Mattel? I would like to point out that I have not seen any of the product yet, but have only heard through articles written online. I am completely excited about this project, and no matter who says they would like to "pass" on this MAC venture, everyone is going to like it, b/c MAC never fails. There is something to like in all their collections. So MAC has my full support in this enterprise.

Ok I'm excited for this I feel like I'm going to rush out and buy the entire collection! Is there a release date yet? Oooo when do we get to see pics?! idk y everyone is trippin so hard on Barbie ... it's a toy, I played with her when I was up to the age of like 12 or 13 ... I have no body issues, self-esteem issues, social issues, or nething like that. I still get excited when I see a Barbie doll ... it's JUST A TOY GET OVER IT! And if kids are having issues because of a Barbie ... sorry it's not the Barbie.

I understand why people are dissapointed with the Barbie collaboration, although i personally don't have a problem.
Someone like Pamela Anderson bothers me much more than Barbie. I don't get these people, i.e. Paris Hilton and Pamela, who are just famous for being famous and have nothing to back up that fame. And no prancing around in a teeny bathing suit with your overstuffed tata's hanging out is not a talent.

IAWTC. Even though I am all "Hooray, Canadians!".. I really dislike Pamela Anderson.. I don't think she's a very good role model.. heh.

I am a 43-year-old pale-skinned brunette, and believe me, I look nothing like Barbie! And, yeah, I'm fat but not ugly.
And in my childhood I played with toy horses instead of Barbies. Maybe that's why I like taupes so much.
I DO like pink, though, and if MAC were to come out with some really good pinks, I could overlook the Barbie element.

I talked with one of the MA's that works at my counter, and she said that the stuff is going to be black with a pink Barbie silhouette... I don't know if it's the old Barbie, or the new... I still wish it was black with pink glitter in it!!!

If it's a silhouette, it will probably be retro Barbie. You know, the classic, side-profile shot with the ponytail. Hooray!!

i heard that there will be mac barbie doll exclusively, designed for mac and will be sold with a make-up line up at mac counters is this really true?for summer 2007.
