For the past three weeks, I've been going to the Pro store and the freestanding store trying to get a new PP. They have both been out for weeks. The PRO store started making a call back list for when they actually get the product in. An MA told me that it was company wide.

I could get it off the site, but it was just be a pain to wait for it. Has anyone else had a hard time getting them? I'm not sure if its just the Bare Study PP or if its all of them.

Honestly I would just order off the web site. At this moment because of the holiday your order won't be processed till Tues am, but under normal non-holiday circumstances my packages almost always arrive in 2 days. With gas prices the way they are, the fast delivery and the free shipping deals MAC is always offering, ordering online is actually my preference.

I thought you could only get shipping if you spent over $150 or something. Lol. The shipping is normally $4.95. I hate shipping.

yea the regular site is free shipping right now and then at least you know you'll have it, instead of having to wait for whenever they get new stock in in-store.

i was just talking to a coworker about this today. because of the issues with the tight lids on the paint pots, they are "long-term out of stock" company wide. no one can order anymore until they repackage it. so, what stock there currently is is all there will be for quite awhile.

i told her that they just need to keep them packaged they way they are and send out a company wide memo telling artists to tell customers to bang them upside down on the counter!

you should just go ahead and order it online. otherwise, you'll be waiting for an unknown time at the store.

Thank you Erine! You're always on top of everything. I want to be well-informed too. ;__;

My Otherworldly and Quite Natural were the same way. I couldn't open it at all, and my father finally opened them after smacking them upside down on the kitchen counter, and running it under hot water. I've talked to my manager and she still can't get her Otherworldly open! I have found that most Paint Pots are easy to open though.

Nope it's company wide - we are always out of Painterly or Bare Study and soon to be out of both.

And as far as the smaking it upside down thing - that mess didn't work for quite a few of ours - we actually had to damage some out.

Whilst on the topic of bare study pp does anybody else here find it makes you're lids crinkly?
I'm starting to hate it as a base, it dries too fast and never smooths out for me

i'd say painterly, but it's matte. rubenesque if you want shimmer, but it has a little more goldish peachyness to it.

its company wide on all of em. bare study sells out pretty fast, and until they fix the lid problem, they won't get any more in. same with all the colors. so, if you find it somewhere, get it now.

While we're on the subject, my friend who works for mac says the pencils (eye, lip) will not be manufactured for a little while (aka a few months) because they have only one manufacturer and something with the order went wrong- so they may be hard to get a hold of.

I just got mine about a week ago at Nordies -- the lid is sooo tight though, so they were bangin mine around until it opened! lol the whole time they were doing that, i was like "you better not break it!!!! rawr!!" haha!!

I guess trying a mac counter instead might get the pp to you faster :p

Try Base Light and Bare Canvas paints.

Man I'm glad theyre sorting out the packaging of the paint pots... we have to get the heavies in from security to loosen all our paints pots in stock!

Can I just say I dislike Bare Study? It gives eyes a texture and I have no idea. I've tried it countless times on customers of different skin tones and eye shapes and I can never get it to look lovely on it's own. Only when I smooth powders on top of it does it start looking right. It just looks "off" on it's own. It makes a great base in my opinion, but the Paint Pots are "meant" to be worn alone and I just really dislike this shade on it's own.

For a similar frosted peachyness, I would recommend using Painterly all over the lid, and patting some Shroom all over that with the 242. Using the 217, blend some Paradisco into the outer edge of the eye in circular motions. And there, you have a simple peachy but light frosty eye! =D
