Hi gals! Ive just got my PPs arrive and Im having real trouble with bare study, I was wondering if I am doing some thing wrong?I am used to applying paints, i thought this would be simular but it seems so cakey/heavy on me. It seems to show up any little faults eye the tinyest wrinkles and looks so glittery even though it doesnt in the pot..

Ive been using a synthetic brush, would fingers be better? Any tips on what you do would be much welcome.

Also what could I pare with delft pp? I looked on the combo website but there wasn't much for this yet!

Yes,.. the paint pots seem to work better when applied thinly. I barely swirl my "concealer" type brush around on the top of the pot. You shouldnt have to "dig" down into it. Maybe try a softer brush?? Fingers work for me but the application didn't seem as smooth looking. My bare study is shimmery in the pot?? Goes on shimmery as well but not "glittery"? There is a great FOTD using Delft that was just posted in the last few days. A lot of people are pairing it with Big T, Pompous Blue, A bluer blue, and colors like that for beautiful rich darker blue eye colors.

Ah new question *sorry* Which brush would be best to apply this type of thing? I am looking to get a couple. Are mac brushes really the best? I am willing to look into other brands possibly also ^_^

When I was talking with the artist at the counter the other day, she said she uses a synthetic small, firm brush (sorry not sure the #). My concern was it would get all "gunky" in the brush, but she had applied it that day, and said very little was left on the brush. I bought two paint pots (greenstroke and rubenesque) and cannot wait to try it out! I'm thinking of using 242 for its firm and slightly rounded. HTH

I am bumping this thread because I would like to know what brush people are using to apply their paint pots. When I went in to try them the MAs used soft fluffy brushes. One used a 217, she said she loved a fluffy brush for the paint pots. Another used a 222, I think. I asked if it mattered which brush you use, synthetic concealer brushes or fluffy brushes and she said it didn't. However, since they both used fluffy, natural brushes I think those might be best.

I'm using a synthetic eye shadow brush from Benefit for mine and I love it. It's pretty firm and not fluffly at all but works really nicely.

It depends what look you're going for, and where you're applying the paint pots. If you're using them in the crease, than the 217 is great for that. For the lid, I would use a synthetic brush, but I've been using the 252 and it works great
