Base for Deep Truth?

Hey everyone! I bought Deep Truth about 3 or 4 weeks ago and have yet to use it. I was playing with it yesterday and the deep navy blue color didn't translate well on my lids. What would you put under it?

This may sound weird but I used my black Kohl pencil to make a base for the lid and swiped Deep Truth over it and the color turned out more vibrant and less blah/dull looking, which is how Deep Truth looks on me. I'm NC45 for refernce. HTH.

If you have it, Sharkskin shadestick or Blacktrack fluidline. I've realized that darker blues always come out better when I put a black base underneath of it. At least on me, I am a NC50, to let you know.

Or try Carbon eyeshadow on the lid and put Deep Truth on top of that. I love layering eyeshadows (a little secret of mine -- not so much anymore). Heh.
